actually its only for 48 hours and only applies to normal forum posts, the News section can post as much as it wants to. And since I don't have a reason to watch the match anymore; Congrats to MMA! I'm happy for you.

I agree that results should not be arbitrarily spoiled. And what was even the point of the thread in the first place? Many people who are interested will look at sc2earnings and check on their favorites.
But to the people who got spoiled, it's not that hard to train yourself to stay away. TL is my homepage, but when there's a major tournament, I know I run the risk of spoiling myself, whether it be my own curiosity, a fan club that's getting bumped, or seeing a thread like this pop up. Advice from a famed wizard: "Keep it secret. Keep it safe."

Let's start with the fact that teamliquid.net consistently reports everything LATE to begin with. Which means if you actually want the results of a tourney that finished 30 seconds ago, or 3 days ago, you go to an LR/results thread, located in your second link.
Then, let's look at what your second link actually is, which is supposed to make us all look like idiots. Oh, hey, it's the Starcraft 2 forum. A place where it so happens that you're guaranteed, yes I can say that confidently, guaranteed, to run into topics regarding Starcraft 2. If you're not looking to get spoiled regarding Starcraft 2 events during your 15 minute work break while you browse the Diablo 3 forum, you're the person that shouldn't be here.

Why should it have been more ambiguous? The thread is about MMA's prize money, the title should reflect that.
