I really hope she does get Code A, just to smash the stereotype of female gamers being bad. I want someone to prove that hard work, determination and skill make the player, not the gender. GLHF

Didn't see the tournament, but it sounds like she's got some real skill. Hopefully she turns out to be at least Code A level, and SC2 finally has a really good female player.

Female players are stereotypically bad because such a few number of them try thusly statistically less will succeed that's why there's only 1-4 known good female players I guess.

And this is quite wrong/subjective. Eve won a female tournament, even if she was only in Diamond. Yes but the tournament that Eve won was described merely as an 'amateur tournament.' I'm skeptical of the skill of the players involved. Jessica also said Eve was recruited based on looks as well as skill. Aphrodite played well in the DIVINA invitational (some decision making issues day 1, but she fixed a lot of that on the finals day) and beat some good players to win (Colagirl, flo). I think she's proven herself far more than Eve has. Oh yeah nevermind, she was gold when she won the tourny and then diamond later on right? I was thinking if she was in at least diamond when she won then that would be like the equivalent of winning a masters tourny, since flo on NA is only high master right? and i do agree picking partly on looks (or rather, mentioning that o.o) also takes away from Eve im high masters and have played on kr... Diamond/ gold players are still rly bad on KR... there early game is good but anything past that is absolute fucking trash.
That's because Koreans are the master of cheesing, which is why the good ones defend it so well They aim to end the game quick, and transition to a macro-style game if need be.

She already won $5,000 this week and that is probably more than 90% of Startale has in the past year in tournament winnings. With her training with Startale, Rainbow, and being able to get fully brought up like any other Korean progamer will give her a massive, massive edge over every other female she will have to face in the future.
That's so cold and probably true Man I hope she actually goes somewhere unlike Eve....
how is that true in any shape or form

Cool, and congrats to her for winning the Divina event.
|
Hope to see her in the next team league on her way to Code A.
|
Congrats to her. I watched a few of her games, and she never gave up even when it looked like she was done. My concern is her reliance on only mech. I did not see a game where she did not go mech. That makes it easy for her opponent to prepare an anti-mech build against her.

First woman Code A winner!!! Make it happen ST!

What?
Can you name the Startale players who have won over $5,000 this year in cash winnings? Bomber, July...who else? They might get paid more in salary, but I am talking about tournament winnings.

She was solid. She won't be competing for a Code A spot right now or anything, but she has loads of potential. She was nervous the first day, but played very technically sound and used mech play while most of the other women liked to use bio.

Man, I'm totally straight and I'd bang rainbow too.
Congrats too her! Good luck startale.

Hopefully this one puts the time in and actually competes =/
jesus I just want to see ONE female good enough to just sit in Code A.. I am not even asking for a code S player

wow this is gonna be so awkward when they break up :x

hahahah i would never imagine. i remember watching her FPV on rainbow's stream and i thought to myself. 'what on earth.. she is really fast actually!' really impressed me actually and her mech was really good.
it was a far cry from when i watched rainbow control her units when they played 2v2 together

Notice how the pink gear is the gear that rainbow is using and his girlfriend the opposite? Just find it kind of funny
