Uhh, what?
Why would Imgur sponsor an SC2 team and why would a team pick Desrow up as their first player?

I can't believe a team would sponsor desRow. This guy is a plague to eSports and will leave you with an extremely sour taste after you finally realize the mistake you've made. desRow has horrible manners, under performs, steals prize money, constantly lies, and creates the most outlandish excuses for any of his flaws.

My last interaction with desRow occured early last year. My team had placed 2nd place in ESL DotA Season 5 and ESL was extremely slow in paying out. Now, desRow didn't play in a single match and was disconnected from our team. The only reason he was still on our roster as an "honorary" member was because the rosters were locked once the tournament started. Once ESL tried to contact us for prize payout, desRow silently tried to sneak his name in there and I was surprised that the admin told me there was a dispute. I got my other teammates to vouch for me and the admin ruled in my favor. A little bit later, ESL mistakenly pays out to the only payment information they have on file (I guess the financial people didn't check the dispute) and desRow pockets the team's prize money without saying a word. 7 months after he received the prize money, it stands that he gave it all away already and I have not received any of it.

Huh? Isn't desRow the latest pick-up of the 11 players in the rooster?

Let's hope this turns out more fortunate than Desrow's latest team commitments.

Sounds like good ol' desRow to me. Sucks Korok. Screwed on many levels. Hope to see you in DotA 2 competing, though.

I was trying to act as an impartial mediator in this situation, but Korok has made it clear that he cares more about tarnishing desRow's reputation than receiving his share of the prize money. After talking to everyone involved, there is really no dispute in what actually happened:

ESL paid the 300 Euro prize money to desRow, in the form of $387 USD. This money was to be divided evenly between Korok and his four teammates. desRow did not notify the rest of the team about receiving the prize money, but eventually paid $237 to one player (to be left unnamed for now) and $150 to another. Korok and two teammates received nothing. For the record, the player who received $150 has agreed to distribute his excess payment to his teammates, as each player was entitled to $77.40.

desRow recognizes that he made a poor decision, but he gained nothing from the aforementioned events. ESL made an error and the player who received $237 and refuses to redistribute his excess payment of $159.60 is ultimately the one preventing a fair resolution. Korok is frustrated, and for good reason, but desRow is no longer in a position to rectify the situation.

Korok claims that the $237 payment was a "personal loan" and that desRow should still be responsible for paying the rest of the team. However, since desRow paid out the EXACT amount he received, and only paid this money out to teammates who deserved a portion of the money, I find it hard to believe that this was intended as a personal loan as opposed to the expected distribution of prizes.

Well it is Desrows fault, he tried to originally take the prize money, then distributed it incorrectly. Korok would have his money if it weren't for Desrow, no?

There is nothing to suggest that Korok would have received any money. Once the money left ESL's hands, it was desRow's job to distribute it. While it is his fault that he distributed it incorrectly, he cannot be held responsible for the actions of the team members who received Korok's share.

Did you miss the part where it was only desrow's 'job' to distribute the money because he stole it by acting like he still had anything to do with the team?

So he randomly decided to give $237 to one guy and $150 to another? How did he come to that ratio? Why did he take the money in the first place instead of immediately returning it to sender? Just because he no longer has the money doesn't mean he's immune to criticism. You also didn't refute the claim that he "tried to sneak his name on the list". If so, wtF? Maybe the guy he sent $237 is also a jackass, but that doesn't excuse anything.

I mean I'm personally open to hearing any more input...but your defense of his character is a pretty weak one.
