"The price may vary near to release date" makes it sounds like the $60 was decided on by Blizzard and that there is only a small chance that it will change. So in other words, it's a somewhat confusing disclaimer

[Question] if the game is going to be shipped early perhaps or whatever so i receive on the day the game is released, which shipping option should i choose. Can i choose free shipping 5-8 day? or does that mean im gunna get a few days later? When i ordered Wol from TL i got it on time and either way if i had to wait a day i wouldn't be heart broken, but a week might be a little harder

Even if this doesn't ship with the Amazon price, the game has a fully-fleshed out campaign and story that would be entirely worth the price of a full game (which it practically is).

HotS costing the same as WoL, despite being an expansion, and with the changes being announced at Blizzcon and already receiving community uproar?
I simply cannot be a buyer of SC2 anymore. This game has gone to shit, and is only in the business of money. I am baffled that they would charge me $59.99 for an EXPANSION. Best of luck to HotS buyers though.

This estimate is a high-end estimate by Amazon. Based on the info Blizzard has in their FAQ it is likely to be less.

I didn't even know about TeamLiquid when I bought WoL way back when, and I imagine it's the same for many of us here.
TL is going to make millions of ESPORTS dollars with this referral. Fighting!

Guys, calm down. Amazon is listing $60 as the max price and as Blizzard stated, it will probably be lower (guessing $40) since it's an expansion.

It's funny because Wings of Liberty can be found at $45 sometimes.
I know $60 isn't the final price, but in my opinion it should be under $30.
