I can't understand why SlayerS would want to do that (apart from money): any SlayerS member could easily steamroll the entire EG sans Puma and HuK. If Idra is in a good day he could help some, but he's not as good as Coca, Yu-Gi-Oh or Min, or even Cella as a coach.

The only thing I can get is that they want Puma as a training partner because he's one of the best around, but then again, any of Boxer's sons (MMA, Ryung, GanZi or Taeja) can mop the floor with him.

Of course it's about money. Why would you think otherwise? Also Both Puma and Idra is capable of beating Slayers players.

As is Huk

This rolled in alongside Quantic-IM, another foreigner-Korean pair. Easier access to foreign tournaments is a huge plus; iirc Quantic is helping to send MVP and Nestea to Providence whereas that might not have been possible without the partnership.

I don't know about you, but I don't think I could handle any more koreans in foreign tournaments; really - they're killing most of the foreigners as it is!

And Koreans should be penalized for that? More like foreigners need to get their shit in gear.

First off... welcome to TL.

Now that we have settled that... I don't know all the details, but one of the biggest benefits that SlayerS can get from this is having easy access to foreign events in many respects. They can have funding to fly out to the tournaments (by representing EGs sponsors) since most, if not all Korean teams are short on cash and sponsors. On top of that, if they would like to, they are likely able to fly out to the team house in Arizona to train for a bit while overcoming jet lag. Even if the tournament is on the east coast of the US, that is negligible when it comes to jet lag.

And then there are some smaller things like it brings even more recognition to their team, and they do get new practice partners such as IdrA, Demuslim, HuK and Puma.

And what does SlayerS have to "sarcrifice" or contribute? Likely just accommodation for the EG players.

Again, I don't know the details so maybe some of what I said is false, but I think it is quite a reasonable partnership. Even if one side benefits a bit more than the other, they still both benefit.

Just to clear some things up..

This is a player training partnership. SlayerS will be representing their own sponsors in Korean or foreign tournaments. Neither team will be associated with each other's sponsors..

After reading about SlayerS clan, I am instantly glad that it is EG in a partnership with SlayerS, it could become something really big

So just because they'r better than most foreigners they should not be allowed to compete? Then there is no reason to get better for us foreigners!
Don't you think someone who puts about 40-50 hours into practice every week should be allowed to defeat someone who practices when he feels like it?

what i love about this is what it can provide to the EG players, as much as i love slayers and i really do this helps eg far more, giving them a korean train home all the EG players can improve, hell theres not a bad player in the EG roster, but his can really push Demuslim to the next level as i see it, as hes probably one of the best non koreans out there. and i know people like to troll incontrol but i watch he steam pretty regulerly and i think he can improve so much. he can read games so well, but he cant captialize on that and id like to see that from korea

Guys, lighten up. There are so many great things here:

- MMA can improve his TvP with Huk, because foreign P seems to be damn good nowadays
- MMA will then silence Huk and his wrestling banter with his actual MMA skills
- SlayerS will have some non-terran opponents to practice with (except Puma lol)
- Idra will finally learn how to deal with cheese from the Emperor himself and be manner about it (because MMA will physically kick his ass if he disrespects anyone in the SlayerS house)
- Boxer can grack more jokes

Really excited about the partnership after reading that article. Its not wonder Slayers has been so successful, such a wonderful environment to be in.

Hmm, I feel that this is good news since it will ultimately lead to the integration of the Korean and foreigner scenes. With Ogs-TL, then coL-MVP, then Quantic-IM, now EG-Slayers, little-known Korean players with great potential will finally have opportunities to make a name for themselves, while foreigners can benefit skill-wise from better training environments, and maybe one day the GSL might truly be a Global Starcraft League, rather than Korean Starcraft League with Huk

I wonder if EG will have their own GSTL team and just be practicing with Slayers in the Slayers House?

That would be awesome seeing EG compete in the GSL..

Can't wait for IdrA and Demuslim to show their stuff in Code A

Does this also mean when Slayers comes to The United States for Tournaments will they be staying at the EG House?

I hope they get their own team. We need a replacement for F.United anyways.
