What did any of the other partnerships give the koreans? Actually you could argue the other way - SlayerS has already been able to send players like Ganzi and Alicia due to their partnership with Razer. Without coL, MVP could never send DRG or Noblesse or Genius. Without Quantic, IM would never send MVP or Nestea (see Providence). But yeah SlayerS got a good deal, as did EG. I think EG gets a lot more from this than Quantic does from getting IM... I mean, Quantic gets better exposure since they're not as well-known but in terms of player improvement EG gets to send 4 - 5 players to practice in Korea with some of the best. Drewbie went for coL.MVP but that was just one guy.

And as for the financial assistance thing it's pretty obvious that that's one of the prime reasons Korean teams are merging with foreigner teams. Korean teams don't make as much money I'm pretty sure.

Drewbie went for coL.MVP but that was just one guy. The coL.MVP partnership is pretty one sided. Drewbie is so far the only Complexity member to go to Korea, so far. They need to send more. Alex Garfield actually said he didn't like the oGs-SK and coL.MVP deals, but spoke well (same interview) about the oGs-TL alliance. Which is pretty much what EG has setup. It's pretty much a SlayerS-EG alliance (though I imagine that EG got a house right next to SlayerS, since that house seemed to be full, or SlayerS moved somewhere with a lot more space). It's a good idea for both teams. Gives Puma & Huk a permanent set of practice partners, along with giving DeMuslim & Idra a training house. Should be good for both sides. SlayerS will now have access to the most active PR team in Esports, hehe.

Not only was the news released beforehand, but for some reason EG decided that the due date would be the same day as Blizzcon, when attention for this was at an all time low. I wonder if EG is going to try the same strategy of releasing cryptic hints in order to grab the community's attention again. This thread is 150 pages, but if I made a thread about how Naniwa and Idra were twins separated at birth, I bet that thread would reach 300 at least. There strategy works every time, hence this huge thread. It's awesome news. For awhile it seemed like Idra was regressing as a player, but recently he's been on quite a run. It's also good to hear DeMuslim will be going to Korea as well. Obviously EG's three amigos (Idra, Huk, Puma) get the most attention, but DeMuslim is very good and has a lot of potential. He's going to get scary good practicing with Puma and the SlayerS Terrans.

...but also by slayers. Will slayers be able to use HuK and Idra in GSTL? ...Because those are the best Zerg (sorry Min!) and maybe best toss (Alicia is dope too of course) in their roster for sure.

Wow haters gonna hate, EG is the best foreigner team right now, and they are doing so much for Esports in the west, i cant possible see how this wont cause more excitement and fandom for Esports. I honestly don't know how people could hate on EG like this.
