Unfortunately I just got back from the Twitch.tv afterparty (thanks Gunrun and everyone else involved in hosting it, by the way!) and am slightly inebriated, wherein I don't want to sacrifice quality for quick upload service (not to mention Heyoka, who updates the gallery, is probably sleeping.) Check back tomorrow, some time after noon and before night if I had to guess! With all due respect, I think you yourself don't know what you're talking about. I follow the rules of composition better than many would-be photographers do. I don't claim to be a professional, but I do know all about the rule of thirds, leading lines, depth of view, repeating patterns, 45 degree angles, etc etc etc. I know the rules of good composition quite well. The simple fact of the matter is that I'm competing in a pre-designed against 30 other photographers standing in spots I'd like to stand, and often in areas I don't have the access to stand despite having a media badge. I also cannot rewind time- I get the photos I can, at the moments I can, at the angle I can given the position I was able to stand in and the poor lighting available. You speak as if I'm walking around doing point&shoot facebook pictures when in fact I'm doing the best I can given the circumstances. You don't know how much chaos it is to rush for a good spot. haha, don't worry about this dude, as a guy who's coming from a photography background, I think your pictures were great. Oh, and I hope to see some pics of MKP at Disneyworld.

Truly he is the deserving champion for both his skill and his kindness. Imagine if you were Hero, a fellow protoss, and a team liquid member, and you had lost the tournment but got this shout out from the champion and none other than Huk himself? And imagine how happy MC must have been, to be called the Protoss President by his friend and the person who just proved he is basically the best Protoss in the world? Truly, we have the qualities of a Hero in Huk. I hope others follow his lead in kindness and skill and dedication -Joytoyou

I'm not questioning whether you know the rules of composition; my point is theory and practice differ. Half your pictures have the subject right in the middle of the photo. I'm not hating on you, and you definitely don't need to be defensive. Practice makes perfect, I think it needs work.

Sorry, had gotten back from an afterparty when I wrote all that, was slightly inhebriated In the end though, I did what I could. I took a lot of center-focused photos with the objective of cropping them to use the rule of 3rds later (because my biggest zoom lens is a standard, dont have a telephoto,) but I've been so busy that I maybe cut a few corners in that regard. Maybe I'll fix some of that up when I get home. edit: forget if I posted it here or not, but I recently uploaded the last batch of photos. Hopefully it'll be up soon! Here's a preview for you guys.
