Only 3 Koreans?
I was excepting a lot of Korean players.. ç_ç

Because the mass majority of the Korean players are in pool play.

Yes, i know.
But since IPL 3 has a huge prize pool, i was excepting more Koreans in the Open tournament aswell.
But i am more than happy with the koreans in the group

I wish some of the european teams would take a chance and send some of their players. It's not like there's no money to be had here....

No Chance makes me sad , I was hoping we'd see him again. Also not enough Europeans. Still the open bracket looks like it should produce some interesting results.

I was hoping for more Koreans and Europeans. There is so much money in this. Top16 is not that difficult with this player pool and nets you already 1000$.

And you could combine the trip with MLG Orlando or IEM New York.

Yeah where are all the euro teams? They can't complain about small prize pool like mlg and tough system because there's 16 open spots to be had for a guaranteed 1k!

Do you know how much a round-trip ticket from Korea to US is? More than $1000, and that's just the flight alone. Not to mention they would have to front it, and theres no idea how long IGN will take to pay out prize money. Not really easy for the majority of Korean players.

I know this. For top Koreans it would still be a good investment. And there are sponsors like SK, coL and FXO who bring Koreans to events. Only FXO brings 2.

Totally yeah. MLG is ridiculously hard to play and the first place is only like 5k. Compare to this is mehh

as much as i love the work he's done it's quite outrageous to put him on the list when I'm sure many other high masters/GM's aren't probably mentioned.

top 16 of the open tournament with only 26 "notable players" (and some of those 26 are clearly not code S level).
I guess the invited/qualified players don't have that much of an advantage.

Notable just means notable, not 'going to win the tournament'
