We would NEVER seed pools by Race. Tournament results always blindly seed the pools.

It sometimes makes for some race heavy pools, but that is the result of blind objectivity.

How? The ONLY matchup you could even argue him for being the best in is PvZ, but even then the only good zerg he has beaten is Dongraegu, and that was month's ago. He just lost in Code A to a fairly mediocre zerg. Unquestionably there are better PvTers, he just got 2-0ed by a foreign terran. And for PvP, MC is still king on account of him having a losing record vs ONLY 1 protoss, Alicia.

Remember that IPL is next week, and with the 100k prize pool, there might be a lesser showing from some people overseas, just because they would rather wait a week and play in a 100k tournament, instead of dealing with travel twice in one week --- unless they decide to stay in the US for an additional week.

It probably depends on flight costs vs living (and intra-us travel) costs -- car rental isnt necessarily cheap either (at least when I was in Europe it sure wasn't. No idea about US costs). Europe does have a nice currency advantage though, so everything here is cheap for them.

My parents were able to do a round trip from the US (denver) to england (london heathrow) for 700-900 (united airlines, economy fare) just a couple weeks ago.

You weigh cost to fly in before MLG, stay for about 1 additonal week in the US on top of tournament stays, intra-country travel (rental cars, one-way plane tickets, buses, etc), then fly out from whatever airport sends you back (either back in orlando, or in neighboring airports near AC).

If anything, it might even balance out. Multi-city arrangements tend to be more expensive, gateways out of the US are finite in number, and vary with carriers. Hotels can be expensive, and they can be super cheap too.

It's probably hard to say, as it would vary from person to person.

Why can't MLG put up some extra streams for everything we miss? I mean they don't even have to be cast or anything, I would just like to see some of the less popular/korean players and some of the open bracket. Since anyone can get a stream on justin.tv/ustream/whatever these days, it really doesn't make sense to me that we don't have that option. I guess yeah, you'd have to have an observer working those games but that shouldn't be that hard to get right?
