Awesome news!
Gratz to Fenix and gl in the future!
I'm kinda interested which NA player might join IM. I really love the idea of this "foreigner expansion" team, such great players playing in foreign tournaments gonna be so awesome.

I think HuK (and jinro and idra if you go back in time abit [and Grrrr... if you go back in time 11 years]) has proven that being good at SC2 has nothing to do with nationality and everything to do with mindset and practice setting. Therefore Fenix and the other foreigner IM is recruiting both will have HUGE potential given the right mindset.

TT1 and Fenix had an agreement to split their winnings from Gamegune 2010 50/50. Fenix came in first place, while TT1 came in second. I think Fenix reneged on the agreement and decided not to split 50/50.

If that's true, sucks for TT1, Fenix joins IM and keeps all the money =o

Well by all means it is Fenix's money if he did win it, TT1 is just being greedy if this is true.

im being greedy? pretournament we agreed (and i sent xeris a pm right after our agreement, in case something like this would have happened) that if we made it to the finals we were to share the winnings, after the finals(after i 1 base carriered him and he won) he told me that he didnt want to go through with the split, in my book the lowest thing someone can do is go back on his word after he made a promise.. hes a smart guy tho because he had both bases covered, if i had won the tournament he was gonna get a 50/50 split and if he ended up winning he wasnt gonna go throught with the split, if i cant trust someone then i dont want to have anything to do with that person and i let fnatic know my stance and told them to make a decision, a person that betrays someone elses trust and has no value for his word is the lowest form of a human being to me

oh well at least he didn't cheat.

yea because someone who cheated when he was 16 y.os in a game

You mean 20?

no when i got caught in tsl1 the replays that they referred to were dated, u should read the post

i find it funny how i still have to defend myself for something that has nothing to do with you people and this situation =] if fenix were to have commited murder would u have posted.. o well at least he didnt cheat like tt1 did in sc1? LOL

Yea and Fenix having success and joining IM has nothing to do with your personal grudge against him. Its funny how you don't see what a huge hypocrite you constantly are. You basically admit to match fixing by agreeing to split money then throwing the finals with lol 1 base carriers, then whine that he didn't go through with it. It's a douchebag move by BOTH of you.

Sc2 is a spectator sport, you wouldn't get any money if no one was watching and fans dont want to see any sort of match fixing or playing half-assed/throwing finals because of monetary agreements that kills the whole spirit of the competition.

You both made a douchebag move but you're the bigger douche for taking your personal grudge to a public forum and trying to ruin a happy announcement for the guy with a grudge that has nothing to do with him being on IM.

do you know what match fixing is? its when 2 players plan out who wins in order to have people who are betting on a match profit from it, if u ever attempt to tarnish my name in that way again i swear to god please present yourself to a lan and it will fucking go down

Threatening people isn't a mature thing either man, just ignore the trolls, move on, and learn from this mistake. At least be happy you got a free $5000 because GameGune was a joke competition-wise and for more money than MLG. You and Fenix should never have agreed on this to begin with because it makes for a boring finals when there is no money on the line (if both players have already agreed to split). Is that match fixing? Of course not. Does it devalue the finals by having "no" money on the line? Certainly.

Congrats to Fenix on joining IM.

when the money becomes fairly significant to 2 teammates and they are playing each other, agreeing to splitting money sounds like the most reasonable move imo, unless they can afford to gamble 5000$

Man, intrigue is going to be busy banning people for ignoring that mod warning. :/

Best of luck to Fenix, I hope the language barrier won't be too bad and stand in his way.

omg, i can't believe TT1, being a Proffesional player who I considered to be a good person and respectfull, is talking like that. Sure having won 2.5k more would have been really good and I know that when someone doesn't keep his promise you get a lot frustrated. But to take this to a forum and act like a child, declaring you'll beat someone up over the internet just makes me sad.

Congratulations Fenix! This is awesome news; pretty insane performance against oGs, i completely was not expecting that. I think the mental aspect played a huge role because the talent has always been there.

What i find pretty disturbing (in a good way) is this foreign expeditionary force includes Nestea and Mvp.. :O Nestea on foreign soil. At least we will get to see more Mvp vs Nestea finals lol

Congrats to Fenix. Until recently I felt he was kind of coasting along in SC2 with a bit of an iffily all-in-ish style and his SC1 mechanics. Good to see him taking it seriously enough and joining IM (as well as some impressive games recently in GSTL)

On topic though,
I'm so so happy for Fenix. Went from being managed by someone like Xeris, to becoming a training partner for NesTea, MVP, Losira. Wow. I can't imagine how happy he must be. I'm sure he will train very hard, and he'll improve rapidly and immensely.

FENIX FIGHTINNN!!!

plz remind me to never bet with you
