However, I'm not in this IPL vs NASL thing. I'm actually IPL + NASL > everyone. It's become clear that the way Koreans do business may be too different from the way sponsors want business to be done. Therefore, if esports is to go bigger, it needs to move away from Korea and towards the west. The reason why I say IPL + NASL is because the relationship of healthy competition between them will make them both better than any GSL could ever be. Look. IPL is doing a live event. Look. NASL's production quality for Season 2 has gotten 50x better. These two tournaments will continue to interact with each other, trying to one-up each other, and the result will be that they will both be something worth showing your friends who aren't in SC2. I wish I could support both; right now I don't have the money for both, so I will probably support NASL to prove a point. However, I hope BOTH succeed, and I think the end result of BOTH of them existing will be better than the end result of one tournament alone. | ||
