I am truly sorry it had to come down to this, but i think on a long therm, this is a good decision for both parties. It's never a good thing when a player and a team part ways even if they were arguing or not over small things, because the bottom line is it affects both parties in some way or another.
I hope the best for Sheth, he is a great player and i am sure he will keep growing as a talent in the SC2 field and will have great success.
As for FXO, keep up what u guys are doing because u are doing it ok. I hope the best at GSL and to see u grow even larger. U are loved by all

It is very sad for me to announce that FXO and Sheth have parted ways on mutual grounds.
FXO as an organisation has a vision, and Sheth as a player and person has a vision, and these two do not coincide.
Sheth will remain a friend of mine, and we are supportive of each other. However we feel it best to end our business relationship.
I look forward to seeing sheth at major tournaments and wish him the best of luck in his journey.
FXOBoSs Yeah lets just cut the only one of the fxo guys that made code a lol :D smart choice lol I doubt they cut him, sheth has said previously he likes being home with his friends and family FXO probably felt like they wanted him to be more abroad. Thats probably why he left

To say otherwise just creates needless drama and lots of discord for no real purpose. That's why it's standard practice. Uh I'm pretty sure the contract is being terminated on mutually agreed upon terms. Hasire is talking about BoSs' post from a few weeks ago. He's saying he wishes that companies wouldn't say "X person is still with the company" when they may or not be on their way out. Which is what I was commenting on. Now with the acquisition of fOu, their plans are likely to be even more Korea-centric ( or at least Asia centric) and Sheth who much prefers to see his families and friends often and dislike pro-house environment won't be able to contribute much in the Asia/Korea scene. I thought the point of the FXO/fOu merger was to make both teams more international, not more Korea focused. This really does feel like a situation of "Well now we have Koreans, so we can dump our star player who didn't want to live in Korea". Also, are we being expected to believe that the FXO/fOu merger wasn't basically done by the time NASL finished? I find it hard to believe the two teams would start up talks on this level, work out the financials, and come to agreement in about three days [July 18 -> July 22]. If anything, it is more likely to believe that Sheth knew about the merger, didn't like what the team would become, and decided to go back home. Which just leads back to my original point, FXO just BS'd us about Sheth's status with the team.
Lol, nice one.. I'll contact TMZ with that right now.
Everyone knew about the merger, FXO is not and will never be korean orientated as a location. We have what I would call a "Branch" there. And thats just because of my own opportunistic personality. It wasn't planned at all.
I do not see the US being the centre point of e-sports. Thats true, but I don't see it in korea either. But at the same time, people should respect korea for a bunch of things, 1) its history and 2) its talent. There is no harm as a pro gamer spending some time in korea. It helps people to understand the requirement to be the best.
Some people do not wish to be the best and thats fine. But FXO is in the business of creating the best possible.
NOTE: THis is not relevant to Sheth, this is part of my explanation why korea is what it is.

Sheth, the slayer of San, the inventor of the lapboard, the manner zerg, he will continue to amaze us, in whatever team or even without a team.
|
GL to Shethykins in everything he does. And good luck to FXO without him.
Gogo EGSheth!
(Side note, i really really hope he goes anywhere but CoL. Please, please please. .-.)

Out of curiousity, Where do you think this centre point of e-Sport will be located?

Expected, i hope he gets into a very nice team as he's probably the second nicest living person on Earth. Though, it looks like that big teams want to invest in Koreans. Liquid`Sheth would be nice :d

Not surprised at the conflicts of visions.
Fxo's vision is a noble one, wanting to do the best they can and be a top team.
Sheth's vision was going to Korea for a tiny amount of time and then abandoning his team while being captain.
I'm very proud and supportive of FXO's decision.

so where is the center of e-sports then? on the moon? I think if not korea, the USA is the best place. Maybe europe but I don't know, USA seems like the best option there is.

I can't help but feel a bit sad, but it's nice to see that it is a mutual decision and I wish nothing but the best of luck to both Sheth and FXO

Sheth is a nerd crusher though. I have no doubts he will be manner elsewhere and be extremely successful with his next choice. Big pickup from another team inc..

How is it more likely to assume things not said when Sheth discussed why he went back home and that Sheth was still a part of the team until such time as Sheth & BoSs discussed plans. You're looking for a pine needle when the forest is staring at you. FXO is going to be SEA centric, Sheth is wants to be based out of Florida (and he might have school soon as well, I don't know though). They part ways because it's best for both parties. Makes a lot of sense to me.

I keep feeling FXO buys themselves into the spotlight. I'm glad Sheth parted. Hopefully he'll be picked up by good team.
