Choya fOu notified GOM TV today that fOu merges with FXOpen.
He said "I asked FXO about sponsering our team and they counter offered with merge, so I accepted." Official name is FXOKorea. FXO will continue their work overseas(foreign scene) and FXOKorea will play in GSL, GSTL.

Choya maintains his playing coach status and will lead FXOKorea. FXO pays management expenses monthly and support foreign competition. FXOKorea can practice in team house in Malaysia at off season.

FXOKorea will wear FXO uniform starting 6th week of GSTL. Those who can not play in GSL can live in the team house in Malaysia and participate online tournament. Malaysia's lagging condition is much better than Korea when playing in EU or NA server.

Choya is happy that players can practice in better environment and also happy that this makes that he can focus more on 'playing' than 'coach'. They'll work hard to achieve better results.

Exciting set of developments! There are some very good Zerg and Terran players in FOu that can do a skill-transfer to the FXO players. I just hope that FXO's investment into the SC2 scene remains financially sustainable in the long term, but I trust FXOBoss and his financial/strategical advisers.

I guess the clan will continue to be name fOu, while the team will be FXO.

Seems like FXO needed this to continue the Korean training of some of it's players. The Koreans needed a big sponsor to continue to recruit and get better. Seems mutually beneficial to me.

The article makes it sound like the players from FXO who want to play in Korea will play with fOu under FXOKorea (I prefer FXO.fOu or FXOu, but I guess if you're a company investing this much into a team you want your moneys worth).

Does this mean that FXO players are going to have the opportunity to live and train with fOu?
