RGHSlush for sure, this guy is actually so good and every time I watch a group prediction thread for MLG everyone gives him like 0 chance to win anything even though he's been like top 12 at every MLG this year. i think slush is overrated if anything -_-. sure he makes a splash at mlgs getting like top 20. but hes never in contention to win anything because his style isnt 'good'. he basically plays a coin flipping style, attacking at anti timings which work if you are against idra who thinks people must be retarded to attack then, but people who play much safer games crush him. this kind of style takes games off of much better players a decent amount of the time, but this inflates his elo/mmr/whatever to a point where the people he plays day to day actually stomp him. i feel like this exact description could be used for destiny too ;/ Everyone has their own style of play, if it works for them then they keep on doing it. If a player isn't ready for an attack or a timing they don't know is coming they deserve to lose, how do you know Slush doesn't watch replays and picks out weird timings that people wouldn't expect. The thing about the MMR is just wrong. but my point is it doesnt work if he wants to win the money, he needs to emulate other zergs who are winning things? if he was putting as much time into analysis of the players he is about to play he would be destroying every league, clearly this isnt true, it also wouldnt explain his apparent better play at mlg than anywhere else, where he doesnt know his opponent.

If you consistently place high at MLG obviously something is working. Sc2 is far to young to have all the MUs figured out so there is great diversity in the play style you can choose from. An example, look at Stephano vs TheStc in IPL3, he uses ling infestor and muta ling both beating TheStc, there is not 1 set play style for any 1 MU.

There is a difference between being an all in cheeser and having multiple styles for management games. There is not 1 set play style for any 1 MU BUT all inning and cheesing is not one of them. Exploiting timings others don't know about will give you wins which will win tournaments, but they will never become standard due to the coinflippy nature of it.

So you'll see him in major lans soon.

How can you honestly make a claim like that? Just how big is this pool of the "best Terrans?" Dragon may be entertaining to watch him faceroll Gold scrubs on the NA ladder with 90 rax builds but he is far from one of the "best Terrans" in Korea. He hasn't even managed to enter Code A yet and doesn't even live at SlayerS.
