I really lost it when he said he couldn't look his father in the eye at the ST. I had a similar experience in HS when I epic failed in this science bowl after doing really well in the earlier rounds. My parents thought I was embarrassed about them cheering me on but in reality I was embarrassed that I was doing well but when they showed up I finally screwed up for my team. They were actually quite angry at me the rest of the day. I never bothered to correct that for some reason (pride I guess, the bad kind). So MMA, I know how you feel, but you're much harder working and I have complete faith in your future efforts. | ||

Yeah, I was referring to the guy I quoted who thought it was funny MMA said he practices ONLY 20-30 games a day. I thought that for Korean standards, that's not very much after all. Also, his personality is stellar. I like his attitude about things, it goes deeper than the conditioned stereotypical Korean humility. I also like players like DRG, but the guy is a bit of a yutz in interviews. MMA is the real deal. I do sincerely hope that he can come back strong and we will see much more of him. | ||

MMA's a fucking boss though, although his ability to come back from being so far behind is far superior to his ability to be ahead the whole game and take it home. Assuming an average game lasts 15 minutes he's still training for 5 hours a day which is plenty. I have to think that if all of slayers were healthy they'd be insane. Boxer's shoulder + MMA's fingers are sad to hear about =/. | ||
