I was on a random team with a drophacker yesterday. He didn't respond to my opening strategy suggestion.. probably because he knew we would get the win.. around the 5 min mark one guy on the other team started lagging out and i lagged out after him.. restarted the game and it gave us the win..

So sick of this, considering buying an EU account -- maybe these guys are planted by blizzard rofl

They can test their hacks without the risk of getting banned and having to buy new copies of the game. I think blizzard needs to rethink the guestaccount feature, because right now it's getting abused big time. They just need to link the guest account to the real one, like on every ALT tracker: When you invite someone and he will be banned, you get warned/banned too. ezpzy but hey that would involve using your brain and guess blizzard is just an inch better at this than sony but not really good(dia2 memories coming back)

This is already happening on SEA too. Some guy named Paddiz.
I've even messaged everyone he vs'd. He's currently 17-0 and everyone else experienced the same thing I did. The game would gradually lag down, even my FPS would drop. For a moment there, I thought my PC was crapping itself - maybe my video card was heating up. Eventually he paused the game, my name kept coming up on the "Waiting for players" screen, and after a while I couldnt even chat anymore. I could still move my mouse, but SC2 wasnt responding. I had to kill it from task manager.
Sigh, this is what killed SC/WC3 ladder before. The rampant hackers / cheaters. I hope this is not a repeat of history.
|
I sure hope they stay on the NA Server, I have played games before that got fucked up by hackers/cheaters, in some cases the developer saved the day, in some they did not. I feel like Blizzard is one of these companies that will not allow this game to turn into cheaters paradise. Despite what you think about the way they do maps or they balance act, they care about the game and they care about the competitive community. That might not be much, but coming from a guy who played halo for the last ~7 years, it means a lot to me and I think that alone means that blizzard will at least try to do something about it. This is one of these times when I am actually glad that I am still relativly new to the game and I'm still learning and I have only climped up the first ladder (no pun intended) on my way to masters, as it seems like these people are more present in the high divisions.
|
Still happening in NA? Might just play some customs if so
|
Just for a little perspective, I played for several hours tonight in Gold league and didn't encounter this issue. I think these folks are winding up quickly in the higher leagues.

Paddiz just drop hacked slayersdragon on sea server ;(((((
|
Sterling is streaming right now, and he got drophacked, pretty obvious hack too..
|
A guy under the ID "Supernoctis" did this to me yesterday... Stole 10 ptz from me. In game he accuses the other person of dropjacking then he himself drops you, then puts the people he plays on ignore after the game. His sc2 rank is like 40-0, but i am sure it is higher now.

Didn't see a topic about it yet, so I'll post it here. Not sure if it's true either, but that's what I've heard from several people, and its most likely true due to fake IdrA having won his last 25 matches and starting off in Silver http://sc2ranks.com/team/12240825 <-- Faker LMAO, is this for real? They got the real idra instead of the fake one? LMAO, I mean freaking hacker and it is an understandable mistake, but this is hilarious. Edit: Seems this is not true. Apparently idra went over the Bonus Pool limit
Dude thats real idra not fake one http://sc2ranks.com/team/12240825, but he can't be in bronze even then he went over the Bonus Pool he would be dropped to masters not bronze. And the one who is top 1 in GM is fake.

It's not illegal to drophack so having his IP is useless. It's only against blizzards ToS and the most they can do is ban him. well at least it'll cost him 60$ No it wont people use trial accounts for that crap usually.
Oooh. I was wondering what kind of retarded hacker was just tossing away $60 for some lulz. It makes a lot more sense that they use trial accounts for that shit.
I guess this is the one time that I'm glad I'm not in Masters/GM. There aren't that many drop-hackers down here in Gold...
