I am disappoint, Liquid Rain would have been the best id ever :/ gz to fnatic anyway, it is kinda funny that their other terran(fenix) is starting up in code a right after raid drops out.

this is weird, im not sure how i feel with all the koreans joining the teams, feels cheap.

Koreans are regular people too you know, except for language there's no real reason for this not to happen with the popularity of sc2 in the west. No need to be condescending.

I dont mean it that way, when i said cheap i meant teams should support non-korean talent instead cheap korean wins.

If ur gona have a non korean team vs a korean team where both teams r full of koreans, whats the point of that ? theres no excitement.

I wonder if eventually all these "foreign" teams drop all their current players eventually and it will just be Koreans. Wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth?

I totally understand what you mean though. It's like watching your local sports team try hard season after season then they just sign on some superstars.

At least FXO is using their Korean acquisition for potential coaching and are making serious actual efforts to be an actual team that practices together. (Of course... they have resources to do that unlike other teams, so that's not fair )

Because their roster is the size they want it to be.

Probably. They should get ToD though!

ot: Strange, Fenix going to Korea, Rain to USA. I somewhat think that Rain did want to go to USA regardless, maybe he wants to study or something? Don't think he will have enough training partners over there.

Rain is very underrated. Did you know he just blasted through the open bracket of the Nasl and is now qualified? The koreans didn't lose a single match except against each other lol.

Wow, congrats to both team and player. Its huge that a foreigner team is able to sign any Korean player. It's also really cool that Rain recognizes the foreigner community. Great news!

The lack of standards shown by the foreigner community on who to root for is honestly pretty disappointing.

Yeah, agree! It's not like reaching code S finals and staying in code S is anything special, I mean ANY foreigner....o wait...

They're not signing bit by bit, man.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Hilarious, all the disgusting hate against Rain while he was playing in the GSL, and now he joins a foreign team you guys are all over him..

I recognize that you are saying its great for the foreign scene to have a korean pro gamer joining a foreign team, regardless of who (and i totally agree), but come on guys.. could you be any more bias?

Really..? During/after his GSL run 90% you guys were spewing trash like 'Rain is a "disgraceful cheese noob" that "doesnt know how to macro" and "needs to be out of code s/a" '...

Now he joins a foreign team and all of a sudden 90% of the comments about him are 'great pickup for sure', 'great player that will prove all the haters wrong', 'underrated player'..

It reminds me of the weak-minded people who watch WWE (not everyone who watches WWE), the ones that cheer for the wrestler that is written to be 'the good guy', rather than picking someone THEY like and cheering for him..

Its one thing to say its great for the scene.. But its a joke how the opinions of him as a player change so drastically just because he joins a foreign team..

Now i never hated on Rain as a player (nor liked him much really) but it will be interesting to see how this pans out for both fnatic and rain! Definitely great for the foreign scene (and potentially the korean scene too)!

Edit:

People hate him because he cheesed fan favourite Nestea out of the GSL. I'd be pretty excited to see what kind of cheeses Rain can introduce into Fnatic players' arsenals :D

I know why people hate(d) him.. but the fact that half of them dont any more purely because he joined a foreign team seems extremely weak-minded and bias..

lol did he go out of his way to pick his absolute worst replays for that pack? I mean it's cool that he'd give out some of his replays, but their quality is quite lacking.

To be honest, I think his old teammates were more "stellar" than his new ones are.
Anyways, not sure if that was the right move for FnaticMSI, but I believe in their judgement.

This is really cool, glad I friended Rain on Facebook a couple of days ago. I really like this international feel that SC2 is taking on lately.

I hope you cross-checked all the names in this thread against the posts made flaming. I somehow doubt you'll find that 90% of them were indeed who you're pointing fingers at.

That aside, I'm decidedly not a fan of Rain, but this is a really, really interesting step forward for SC2 globally. It's cool to hear, regardless of who it is.
