lol What I don't get is how everyone is saying " you don't gain points but MMR is still working" , are you serious ? 99% of the games I play are always ' favored ' for me or my opponent, which rarely ever happens , normally ill only see slightly favored / even, i only saw ' favored ' once before all this ladder mess up stuff when I was placing vs GM players and im masters.

I don't know about you guys but my MMR seems completely out of whack, as well, is there any source to say that MMR still works when ladder points aren't?

Something happened for sure. I have been "Favored" against 3 opponents now and all of them are 1500-1700 Masters and I was even with 1400 point dude. Interesting.

Maybe the 1400 guy had a good winratio or a big winning streak?MMR says if someone is favored or not,not the points.

I'm in gold and the ladder is way out of wack for me. I always play gold/plat players never higher or lower but over the last couple of hours I have played a few diamonds, and a few silvers.

Either my opponent or I has been favored, which never really happens like someone said earlier, but when I am favored I own the guy hard, when i'm not I get owned hard.. I haven't had a even match over my last 8-9 matches and have had a 50/50 ratio. Win when i'm favored lose when i'm not.

i never really understood the huge deal when the pts system is broken? i just game it up and i dont care if i play a GM or my own level of player, either way its practice. who cares about pts and ranking

blizzard claims it is..... but meh, blizzard brings zero proof that mmr is actually working as we cant see it.

When this happened the other day, there was a Blizzard statement that MMR was continuing to update even though points were not.

It's worth noting, by the way, that points not updating won't have a long-term effect on the accuracy of one's ladder standing. If an active player's MMR increases enormously while this is going on, when the points do update again, they'll see a number of games where their opponent is listed as "favored" or "slightly favored," and they'll get more points for a win than for a loss until they are back in the right spot.
