+ Show Spoiler +Main Team2 AceSeems like pretty good value for a decent player who has a good chance of making some appearances at the GSTL. 1 CreatorI was impressed with his during his match at the Super Tournament against IMMvp. I needed some cheaper players to round out my roster. 1 HuKHas a lot of potential as we saw at Dreamhack where he defeated July 2-0 in convincing fashion. The problem with Huk is that he is with oGs which has so many talented players and may not see many games if any at all. 5 JulyOne of the top players on a very strong StarTale team. No explanation is necessary. 5 points seems like a steal. 9 MC (captain) My favorite player in all of SC2. I would have picked him even if he cost 15 points. He is the ace of oGs and has a very good record. 4 NaDaAnother favorite of mine. The problem with oGs players is that the team is so deep, many will not get as much play time. 7 sCMy second favorite player. Solid all round and the ace of fOu. Should see a lot of games. 2 ViOletFor 2 points he seems like another steal. Pretty solid zerg player. 5 Old GenerationSHas a ton of talent top to bottom. Did not have very good results in previous GSTLs but with more games, that could change. + Show Spoiler +

My team has 3 superheroes (MMA, DongRaeGu and MC) and the rest are people who I think are undervalued, players that I like to call 'closet gosus'
SocceR is very very undervalued at 1, he just got into Code A and I'm certain he will raise in value, come out of the closet soon and be a true gosu.
Hero is also 1 which is pretty crazy, hes like oGs' protoss of choice after MC
Happy gives me a player from IM so I can get those juicy +1's from IM winning a lot :p
Isn't Nuclear meant to be really good...? I think so :3 I also have a feeling fOu could do a bit better this time round.
Puzzle isn't even a closet gosu, hes a chest of drawers gosu or something like that, I also think he will go up in value, and I mean having a Zenex player could net me a couple of points :p
MMA, MC and DongRaeGu are all exceptionally good players, MMA and DongRaeGu give me points from SlayerS and MvP.
I chose team MvP because I couldn't find any other great 1 pointers so I picked puzzle, giving me 4 points left, it was between MvP and Prime for me really, and I am a bit of a DongRaeGu fanboy so I had to pick MvP :p
FD was good in a time when everyone was bad if you get what I mean, him being 4 points is pretty good for anti-team
Trickster just hasn't been showing great stuff recently :/
Choya is damn good
...at qualifying for Code A, he isn't really that great at much else tbh + Show Spoiler +

I'm a noob at making fantasy teams, but this could be alot of fun. Billund Base Stealers + Show Spoiler +
Reason: + Show Spoiler +I took some players that I really hope will do well because I have been a fan for a while, GO QXC, more fun rooting for a player for two reasons. Sheth really seams strong atm, and such a cool person. Ace doing well in NASL, Huk is cool and at 1 point its a bargin. July seams very strong also. BBoongBBoong I just HAD to have because of the fun name. Don't know much about Lyn, but seen a few mention that he properly wont play much. Check I'm thinking he will focus mainly on his captain duty, and I needed to fill 13 points. Could backfire ofc. GuineaPig I took because the MVP team has alot of nice players with as good or better results that happend much more recent. Random race is a bit of a gamble to put in a match IMHO.

I share the sentiments about alive. I'm abit worried his high ELO might suddenly churn out results in the GSTL. But at 7 points I'm taking that risk.

Some tips I think are tipful :D
Avoid picking players from large teams, ESPECIALLY oGs. By large I don't mean like, MVP and Prime are the largest teams, but by how oGs has almost 9 or so people in Code S. More potential players, less likely your player will play or have people to win against.
Avoid NesTea, Mvp, and Losira. If you're going to spend 7+ points on a player, it better be the ace of the team. With these three players, they're like a 3 part Ace. On teams like TSL, aLive is almost guarenteed to play and get wins. On this team, say Losira all-kills, Mvp and NesTea won't even play.
aLive, MMA, Dongraegu are probably going to be the most valuable 7+ player. Maybe Bomber. But these players are so because they practically carry their team. This is the most prominent in the case of aLive. Seriously, go look at all of TSL's games from the past GSTL. aLive does ALL the work. Players like Bomber, MC, the IM Stars, MKP, Polt, and sC either have strong teams that don't rely on them so much, or just under perform what they should do in the Team League.
While it may seem like a good idea to put the F. United players on your anti, and stack your team with a couple good FXO players (more so the first part), the point values take into account how many matches the player has left. So by the time Week 4 to 5 rolls around, the 5 pointers Lyn and Moon, and the 4 Pointers ThorZain and Naniwa will be much higher, even without playing a game. This means that, while you just plan to trade them off for more safe picks such as Tester, Check, Choya, the only people that will be available to trade them for will be high pointers like sC, Alicia, etc.
Get SocceR. Or, if you seriously don't want the best choice of any 1 point player, research the 1 and 2 point players. Find some hidden gems, Code A qualifiers, etc. Players like IMHappy, oGsHero, ST_Tiger. All 1 point, all qualifiers for Code A, and the best thing, Happy and Tiger are starting in their teams first match. Back to SocceR however. This guy is good, but don't take my word for it. He just qualified for Code A. But still, the most important point.... he's 1 point right now. He won't be in 5 Weeks, I guarentee you. It's an investment, because not only will his value build up over time as we approach Week 6, but who knows how far he will get in Code A. Also, he's on FOX, the smallest team, so their players will be naturally more valuable and likely to play. He's also, believe me, very good.
Avoid Huk and Jinro. They seem to be very popular picks, and I love them. But they are so unlikely to play. Treat them like any oGs player, and oGs players should not be picked in the first place because of the teams size. Look at Huk, Code S, won Dreamhack, Ro32 in the Super Tournament, beat MMA in Up/downs. But only 1 point??!? There's a reason, it's because who ever is doing the points know how low the likelyhood of him playing is.
Don't put at 7+ player on your anti. Just don't. Also, try to stick to players that have been falling from grace ever since Season 1. But also, consider their team. While it may seem great to pick players like TesteR and Fruitdealer, TSL is very small, and these two have appeared in almost all their team matches so far. Remember, you get the same amount of points if your player loses as if your player doesn't play at all (Which I think should be changed, but w/e, as it is now, this is what you should do). Therefore, players like Check, Ensare and Choya are better choices. Also, think about their role in their team. Many people pick San or Leenock because they think they are bad, but they, like the TSL guys, are essential parts of their team. San is practically NsH's Ace (most likely).
And finally, as WaxAngel says, look at the schedule. Look at the starting players. Plan trades. But don't over trade.
And if you have 4 Points for a team, go with MVP, not Prime.

Expert Prediction
Main Team 2 Ace 1 IMHappy 5 July 2 MOoNan 4 NaDa 8 NesTea (captain) 3 Sheth 3 Twilight 8 Incredible Miracle
Anti Team 5 Moon 4 NaNiwa 4 ThorZaIN
lol i don't plan on winning the top score, so i'd say this plan is decent
FXO is a small team so it's more likely for sheth, twilight, MOoNan and i plan on switching these for the F.United players (Moon, NaNiwa, ThorZaiN) come early august
IM Happy is just pretty good and might be a lead in many games. i chose IM nestea for captain(supposedly it's good for tiebreakers). I plan on keeping both all my IM picks. I hope I can keep my oGsNada pick too come august.
Startale is a small team so hopefully july and ace will see action. They are for backup if I really have no other way to trade for F.United players.
And for the Anti Team, F.United players of course until august.

umm...
Week 1: Incredible Miracle vs fOu Week 3: Incredible Miracle vs ZeNEX Week 5: Incredible Miracle vs FXO Week 7: Incredible Miracle vs NSHoseo Week 10: Incredible Miracle vs Startale
It wouldn't be much of an incredible miracle if they won all these games lol

Main Team 5 Alicia
SlayerS's main Protoss. SlayerS can't possibly go all Terran and as an excellent vT sniper, he will bring home some assured dough. A safe pick for a solid player. 2-0 over MC anybody?
2 CoCa
A cheap player with potential. Beating Jinro in Up/Down is not too shabby.
3 Frozen
A cheap protoss from a team with expensive Terrans. For a team that fears Terran snipers, he can abosrb those terran-penetrating bullets. He's also been on Cella's stream so~
5 July
At 5 points, July too is pretty cheap. Sharing the place below NesTea with Losira and DRG, he has the individual results the other two don't, but costs less. He carried hard vs the foreigners and tore through MLG brackets. With two (maybe even OGS, 3) teams now carrying forigners, I hope he can deliver.
8 NesTea (captain)
MMA and MVP are 9 and NesTea is 8 points? I mean I may start sounding like Scrooge, but 1 point saved is 1 point earned. After IM's surprising upset, their coach may have something to say to regain their title. Anyhow, this man's vZ is impeccable, beat Bomber that hot shot Terran 2-0 convincingly, and made a laughingstock out of Inca. Convincing revenge over Anypro too.
2 Taeja
He has an AK, something of a rarity. At 2 points, he was kind of a filler, but also part of a long line of up-and-coming Slayers Terran that come out of a reactored barracks.
4 ThorZaIN
It was him or Naniwa. A little bit pricy, but he proved he can go toe to toe with anyone and come out ahead. His practice makes him near-invincible, and put him with a bunch of Koreans in a Korea for a month? He is simply solid, and he has these little things that he does that seems to set him apart.
2 ViOlet
Not DRG, but still plays well and can take a game off anyone. Beat TheWind and Kyrix, so his vZ skills are good enough to match some lesser known Zergs.
5 Old GenerationS
A little bit of a risk. However, underperforming 3 seasons in a row must be embarrassing. If to avoid losing face if nothing else, I expect OGS to perform. Seriously, with that many Code S players (and Huk fresh from DH), why has this team not made it to the finals yet?
Anti Team 5 Killer
Does not really have great results. Consistent results against zergs, but in a Terran heavy Korea, I don't see him doing as well as he could. TSL generally disappoints in GSTL
3 RevivaL
Can anyone who saw him play recently in the Super Tourney honestly disagree?
5 San
Sad Zenith is Sad. Who is on a losing streak? He is.

Awesome tips! I agree with them all except for not putting a 7+ player on your anti. Putting a 7+ player on your anti allows you to choose 2 other players that are guaranteed to not win/play games at all. Pretty much every FPL so far, a few of the best anti teams have used this strategy (Sea, Bisu, Effort, Leta, Kal, etc). It's a safe and effective strategy that only relies on a single underperforming player to keep underperforming. When you have 3 middling players on your anti, there's a good chance that at least one of them decides to stop sucking and fuck your anti team over (Killer, Jaehoon, Hiya, Movie, etc). Not to say that having a +7 player is the superior strategy, they're both equally effective when it comes to results.

Anti Team7 aLive+ Show Spoiler +I'm worried about this pick, but He's inconsistent enough that I think things should turn out ok. 4 FruitDealer+ Show Spoiler +Unless FD really changes some things about his play he'll still be in the same bad spot as he was the previous team leagues. 3 RainBOw+ Show Spoiler +Sorry Rainbow, you were a fun 4v4 partner, but you're 1v1 has been lacking lately. Ugh. I hate picking the anti-team since I like alll 3 of these players. The fact is though, the inconsistent players have the best chance of getting played and losing. Simple as that. So there you go. We'll see if my unique insight into the Korean scene works out.
Awesome! I hope wolf artosis and tasteless play to and they can talk about it a bit on air it would be cool. Maybe a friendly competition to see witch caster gets more points. (Can we get Koreans playing this to? )
I picked polt because he seems to win a lot somehow even if I don't like him much, nobody else seems to though is he a bad choice?

Are the playoffs included in the season? Only the 10 weeks of the regular season shows up in the detailed team tab. I assume though that the playoffs are included as well. How is it in the brood war league?

Playoffs do not count towards your points.
