I changed my team up + Show Spoiler +
Switched from MVP to IM as my team given their easy schedule. Dropped bboong prime for IMHappy and also dropped IMLosira for SlayerSAlicia to make up the point difference. Also, I saw potential in Puzzle so I dropped FXOTwilight for him.

attack of the qts ^_^ antiteam: the anti-qts + Show Spoiler +CAPTAIN QT: MarineKing - hasn't done that well in teamleague before, but I think especially with his great ST results he'll be motivated to lead his team to many victories! Also, the most qt progamer :3 Ryung - I think Ryung will also be motivated after doing so well in ST then losing to MMA to perform even better and show that he is the best Slayers terran Line - Pretty much guaranteed to be played for his team, and the ST has shown he has the skills to get some wins Squirtle - A player who had lots of potential but has faded from the GSL individual league. However, he has been doing really well in NASL, so we could see a comeback for him! Also, a qt Keen - Up-and-coming, recently made code S, so I'm betting he'll be played fairly often for his team Sheth - Guaranteed to be played for his team, and I think he has the preparation to do well! HuK - A steal at only 1 point, I think after his recent big victory oGs will give him a chance to shine in the teamleague! Also, the second most qt programer after Marineking. Team: MVP - did very well last teamleague; an up-and-coming team for a cheap price ANTITEAM (the anti-qts) Leenock - don't feel like he's done much. Choya - ladder cheating is the antithesis of a qt Curious - who is this guy and why is he worth 4 points
was considering submitting team "screw koreans" just for the lulz + Show Spoiler +

Victorious Secret
Main Team 2 CoCa + Show Spoiler +ZeNex needs him to perform well. Their group is relative easy and hopefully he and ZeNex can do well. 1 Creator + Show Spoiler +Prime doesn't have particularly good Brotosses. I feel like they may use him as a Sniper for some of the many terrans on other teams. 4 GuMiho + Show Spoiler +This guy is solid. Those of you putting him on your anti-team are going to get screwed. 1 IMHappy + Show Spoiler +So much hype. Doesn't hurt too much to take a risk here. Worst case scenario, he scores points for IM winning every match. 5 July (captain) + Show Spoiler +He's my captain for a reason. ST plays in the last 2 weeks so there is a good chance I won't want to trade him... hence I made him captain. Also he seems like a good bet to go on long streaks given the easier group and Bomber is going to pull a lot of focus away from him. 6 Leenock + Show Spoiler +Kids out of school. He's ready to rape some nerds now that he can practice 24/7. 8 LosirA + Show Spoiler +Struggled between him and DRG. Eventually I decided to go with more of a sure thing with LosirA. DRG is going to been the centre of attention whenever MVP plays, each team is going to have a way to fight him. Especially given how strong his group is. 3 Younghwa + Show Spoiler +GSTL superstar. Hoping that continues. 6 StarTale + Show Spoiler +Only team they have to worry about is IM. And I think they can go 3-4 against them. Other than that they should be picking up points every time they play. Anti Team 4 Clide + Show Spoiler +Hasn't appeared very often for TSL and when he does he loses. 8 NesTea + Show Spoiler +IM is stacked. They face scrubs the entire season. They will win without needing him, hopefully they don't toss him in for fun. This could backfire like no tomorrow lol 1 Wolf + Show Spoiler +Odds of Wolf playing? 0%. He's commentating most of the games

If they get any wins in their matches there's a good chance a few of them will come from this guy. 1 Creator+ Show Spoiler +I honestly thing Creator is a huge steal at 1 point. This kid is so solid; especially for his age. I expect Prime to use him a lot more this season. 4 GuMiho+ Show Spoiler +One of fOu's best players last season and a really solid team league player overall. fOu isn't that deep so I'm expecting this guy to see action fairly frequently and get some wins. 6 Leenock+ Show Spoiler +9 MMA (captain) + Show Spoiler +Best player in GSTL history? Made the Super Tournament finals? Some of the best multi-tasking in SC2? Amazing TvT and TvZ? Easy choice although I'm a little worried about Protoss snipers being prepared by other teams for him. 4 NaNiwa+ Show Spoiler +He's shown himself to be able to go toe to toe with Koreans and he's got an amazing work ethic when it comes to improving. He'll probably play every match F.United is in too. *fingers crossed!* 2 Taeja+ Show Spoiler +His all-kill last season aside, I really think this guy is another rising Terran star. He came within one game of getting to go to MLG instead of July as well. It's hard to go wrong with Slayers Terrans. He's a great deal at 2 points. My only concern is that he might not be played as much as Ryung, who's got better sniper potential. 2 Tassadar+ Show Spoiler +I feel like this guy is really underrated. Although his record isn't too stellar yet I think we'll be seeing good things from him in the future. He is on San's team after all. I'm guessing he'll see a lot of games over the course of the season as well. 4 MVP+ Show Spoiler +Easily the best team for the points in my opinion. They're going to be even better than they were last season. Expect Guinea Pig and Keen to get a lot more wins. A really solid choice if you're low on points after your player selections. Team league is way different ballgame than the regular 1v1 tournaments. You have to weigh overall player strength with what players are talented at preparing to snipe other players. I also like to base my picks around who I felt showed a lot of potential last season and in recent events. My picks might seem odd at times, but I know my Korean SC2 players. Trust me on that one. Anti Team7 aLive+ Show Spoiler +I'm worried about this pick, but He's inconsistent enough that I think things should turn out ok. 4 FruitDealer+ Show Spoiler +Unless FD really changes some things about his play he'll still be in the same bad spot as he was the previous team leagues. 3 RainBOw+ Show Spoiler +Sorry Rainbow, you were a fun 4v4 partner, but you're 1v1 has been lacking lately. Ugh. I hate picking the anti-team since I like alll 3 of these players. The fact is though, the inconsistent players have the best chance of getting played and losing. Simple as that. So there you go. We'll see if my unique insight into the Korean scene works out.
aLive has been anything but inconsistent in the team leagues...he got 3 wins in the first, 3 in the second and 2 in the last one, finishing top 8 in all of them, even though TSL has been performing poorly.

Who are the best bets for 1 point players so far I have MVPMonster who I hear is quite good as well as TSLSmart who I have also heard is good.
Considering maybe exchanging Smart for either IMHappy or IMdreamertt
Thoughts?

Thoughts? You could go with IMhappy or ST.tiger who have been already announced to be playing in the first games(see op). That way you know you're atleast getting a game out of them which is quite a risk for a lot of 1 pointers. Ogshero seems highly rated and soccer is good because hes on a 5 man team.

My suggestion with low value players (1 point) is to take risks on players with solid teams. IMHappy is the very best example.
His team has high hopes for him so he will play. And worst case scenario you score points because IM will win most of the time (if not all).
On the other hand, someone like TSLSmart, the worst case scenario is he never plays and he doesn't score anything because TSL goes 0-5.
Comparing Smart to Happy... Smart would have to wins like 2 more games just to make up the difference in points that his team will get compared to IM. And that's a pretty big difference for someone that may never play.
For that reason, I think the best 1 point players are IMHappy, oGsHero, CreatorPrime.WE. With Soccer from WMF right in there too (he's there because he is guaranteed to play, so he has a good chance to score some points).
EDIT: Add ST_Tiger to that list. Didn't realize he was starting for them. ST is another team that should do very well.

Players who have many games remaining get their normal value inflated, while players who have already played their games have their normal trade value deflated.
I assume it's the opposite for anti-teams.
Basically on an anti-team it will be almost impossible for someone who has 5 games left to be played to have a point value such that you would be allowed to trade them for someone with 0 games left.

Oh lord this would be insanely negative. Now I want to make a TL account for it. Hahahah.

On a serious note, do any of you people putting Huk or Jinro on your teams seriously expect them to be allowed to play a game?
The only chance I would see for either of them is breaking with the TL/oGs partnership and playing on F.United.

No offense, but you have one of the worst anti-teams possible, assuming you are serious.
First of all, you have 22 points when you only need 13. Secondly, MKP and MC are really not good bets at all unless you know something that we don't. At the very least, bet on just one of them and get an actually bad player for your third slot. Killer is not a bad choice, but his 5 points with either of your two other players already meets the 13 point maximum. If you could choose Wolf, who really should be 0 points then you might be okay. But that's not the case.
Also, while Polt might overshadow MKP, it's not like there's really anyone else on Prime to play. While Polt might take the role of ace with his recent sucess, MKP will still almost guaranteed play every match. Actually, Polt being better makes MKP an even worse anti-team choice since it means they'll play him earlier so he has more chances of appearing.

I'm still suprised we see so many FU Anti Team picks. If you're unable to trade them out due to inflated points you're screwed, it's such a small team and they will win some games.

Could someone enlighten me on how to make changes to your current roster? I inquired in the other thread but didn't receive a response on the matter.

Only problem with the FXO theory is that you only play 4 people every week. So they could live with qxc, sheth, twilight, moonan and never touch any of those guys (especially not Filthy since he retired).
I don't think any of the FXO 1 point players are a good bet. FXO won't win many matches so you won't get points there. No idea which of them will play any given week. Even if they do play, what are the odds that they can win against established code A players in the GSTL? Not likely without a couple of months of training...

Twilight. however. I feel like is a solid pickup since he's almost certainly going to play every match if you assume FXO is going to lose every week. And since he's already been practicing in Korean professional circuit, he should pick up games here and there.
