Now I want to make a TL account for it. Hahahah. ---------- On a serious note, do any of you people putting Huk or Jinro on your teams seriously expect them to be allowed to play a game? The only chance I would see for either of them is breaking with the TL/oGs partnership and playing on F.United. I wouldn't be so sure about Huk, I can see him getting picked considering his current form. HuK and Jinro aren't on the oGs roster listed on the GOM website. Just sayin' OGS is allowed to use them as mercs, which is new to this season. Edit : My team/reasoning. I've modified my team probably 10-12 times so far for various little changes. I mostly just tried to pick underpriced players with a few risks. railsMain Team5 GuineaPig1 HuK4 InCa5 July (captain) 8 Polt2 Qxc3 SuperNoVa3 Twilight5 Old GenerationSAnti Team5 GanZi5 Killer3 SeedPolt and Guinea pig are risky to me, but not very. I will trade Polt instantly if his play is weak or if he isn't seeing a lot of play time after the first week. Polt played very well in the super tournament, but I'm just rolling the dice that he isn't doing a Forgg and slumping for the next two years after winning a single tourny with timing attacks. The other eight/nine point alternatives are all safer choices (besides maybe MMA), but Polt is the only one whose skill level seems to be climbing daily with no signs of stopping. Huk will give team points for OGs even if he sees no play time, but I think he'll see at least a few games (why make mercs possible if no one would use them?). July as captain seems sensible to me - he's a fairly consistent player and unlikely to be played if he's not winning. Of course, it is also going to be July... which is the one month of the year when he becomes a secret bonjwa sometimes. Twilight seems sensible at 3 points, the only korean trained player on a foreign team, he'll likely see play time and win some games. I think Qxc has it in him to do well based upon team's comments about rapid improvement (maybe not in the first two weeks, but from the third on their regimen should start showing results). I find it odd that Huk is half the cost of Qxc, but whatever. Guineapig, well, random makes games fairly entertaining to watch. Random is probably the race with the most potential for some formats, and the team league format drives it home even harder. (Instead of preparing 3 builds for every map, players will need a fourth build that is reliable vs random). At 3 points supernova seemed a little underpriced. Not seeing much play time may hurt him. OGS, I just have a feeling that Slayers isn't going to do well this season (winning 3 finals in a row seems unlikely). I get the feeling MMA may go through a bit of a slump after getting dismantled in a finals match. No team seems to beat any other team out especially, but OGS I feel is the most fair-priced. On the Anti-team, Ganzi/Killer are old BW players that had underlying strategic issues that held them back and lost them games constantly. Switching to sc2 probably isn't helping with that. (I think they've peaked). The two of them make up all but 3 points of the AT, so I just picked a random 3 pointer. (Probably not the best strategy).
I like your pick, but Ganzi might be played once or twice. I agree they peaked. Seed isn't very good either, but Rainbow might be a better choice. I chose IM, but Slayers have been very good lately. Prime has too many good players...I was going to choose Polt, but thought MKP might steal the scenes. Same for IM Nestea, but I think sometimes you want a Zerg ace instead of Terran (MVP).

thx a buch TL If it's almost a cointoss to you who of them you pick, go with Alicia. Both will probably play but at least Alicia is already guaranteed to play the first match. Also Slayers is still the favorite to win the GSTL, over ST at least. thx dude

Been debating about picking TheStC or PuMa, they both at two points and terran. At this point I must pick a terran that is 2 points or less (because of no other terran on my main team).
TheStC just got done with his military service, but will oGs will him in the team league? PuMa is a former BW pro recently switched to SC2, I think he is very promising if he puts in the time, but I have no idea how good he is now. + Show Spoiler +He recently won the Korean ICCUP weekly W2, shown some good play, but there wasn't any Code S players in the tournament
So, what do you guys think?

Team Dudelicious + Show Spoiler +Main Team8 DongRaeGu My favourite Zerg, every game he just eems better and better 3 Frozen Solid performance in previous GSTL's 1 Hero For 1 point he's a steal! 1 IMHappy For some reason I just love this guy. 4 Line If his style hasn't been figured out he will be epic. 9 MMA (captain) My favourite player! Have to include him 2 Qxc His super agressive style might surprise korea. 2 Taeja All kill last season. 6 SlayerS The best team out there after IM. Anti Team3 Anypro Horrible. 4 FruitDealer Crap. 6 Trickster Overrated.

Tough call. I know for certain oGs won't play him unless he gets closer to the top of their in-house rankings... they won't just play him to get him experience, he has to turn a playing spot. And he has a ton of terrans to compete with in that ranking: top, nada, supernova, ensnare, hyperdub... Considering it is only a 4 slot league, and MC will definately take the last one... I don't think it's very likely that TheStC gets much playing time.
On the other hand, PuMa has shown good results in previous GSTLs. He destroyed everyone he faced in iccup weekly (he went 13-2...) and TSL is a weak team in general... I see a good chance of him being played and doing ok.
I'd go with PuMa.
Noblesse for MVP might be a better idea though. He's playing for a strong team (MVP) so he should get some teamwin points. Plus his team isn't very deep so he has a good chance of appearing most of the time. And he for sure is appearing tomorrow (as he is starting for them). He isn't exactly a stud though... probably not as good as PuMa or TheStC... but things are more favourable for him to play.
EDIT: Also consider taeja. He is a stud. His only problem is competing for playtime on a stacked SlayerS team. Gotta fight against GanZi and Ryung for 1 of 2 spots (with Alicia and MMA get the others). Will be tough for him to get in, but he's a stud.

SlayersTaeja is a good pick for 2 pts with an all-kill last season as well. StC is definitely a good choice, but oGs doesn't play until week 3 I think, I was thinking of trading for him, but maybe its more efficient to pick him up from the start.

Basically, my team is going to win so if you want to win just copy me, but since I made it first, I am the actual winner and you are a fraudulent loser.
I don't need to give explanations on why I picked my team because if you just look you will see that they are the clear choices, I spent hours deliberating the possibilities with genius mathematical analysis but since I want a little competition I'll let you in on some of the factors that came into play.
Main Team 5 Alicia - Plays first, pretty leet, has a girl's name so opponents will underestimate him, also I needed a Protoss on my team! 1 BBoongBBoong - Only 1 point, impressed me in previous GSTL plus there are only 3 Zergs in Prime. 1 IMHappy - Plays first, only 1 point, since Terrans always win I chose to spend my points on good Zergs. 5 July (captain) - God of War, only fat Korean, players fear if they beat him that he will eat them so they just lose. 6 Leenock - Amazing ZvT, and I hate seeing Terran win. He is better than DRG and 2 points cheaper. 8 LosirA - Favorite/Best/Sexiest Korean SC2 player ever, also Nestea's protege and will win the match before Nestea gets a chance to appear. 2 Qxc - Plays first, beat DRG the ZvT sniper, also cheap which is how I pick my Terrans since they are imba. 3 Sheth - If qxc fails, Sheth is going to play and win plus he was only 3 points. Seen him play as Protoss and own, I imagine his Zerg is sick, plus he was cheap. 5 Old GenerationS - Good bargain for 5 points, plus they don't play IM so clear choice.
Anti Team 3 Choya - Sings to himself in his booth like a woman and sucks at SC2. 4 FruitDealer - I love FruitDealer but sometimes he macros too hard and doesn't apply pressure, plus hasn't been doin too well lately, sorry FD you're still one of my fav players man. 6 Trickster - TSL is going to get all-killed every match so this is a good pick for 6 points.

It seems that a lot of people (myself included) have picked HuK for their team but he is not on the updated oGs roster which leads me to believe that he may not get played, especially considering the number of strong players on that team already.
Mind you a few appearances in the name of foreigner love would be nice, especially considering his Dreamhack performance.

How much should the player's team affect your picks? I'm thinking about picking Smart, Creator or Hero for my last spot, and while Smart looks like he's the best out of the three, he is on TSL (which has few players, but probably will do poorly). Hero on the other hand, seems to be played first for oGs all the time, and Creator hasn't played in the team league yet, but looks pretty solid.

Best
Main Team 1 HuK 1 Jinro 1 JookTo 5 July 8 LosirA 9 MC (captain) 4 NaNiwa 1 OpTiKzErO 6 SlayerS
Anti Team 9 Bomber 3 Choya 1 Wolf
I dunno I just picked some favorites and some "bargain priced" players. Anti-team too easy. Picked Bomber for the lols because most of the time, he doesn't live up to hype. Wolf will never get played.

My main team is Really similar to yours except a little more limited because I think IM is the superior choice (point-scoring wise) and they're 8 pts instead of 6, so I have less points for other players
Main Team 8 DongRaeGu 4 GuMiho 1 IMHappy 9 MMA (Captain) 1 BBoongBBoong 2 Ace 1 Hero 3 Younghwa 8 Incredible Miracle
This is 37/36 I like this setup as it's pretty balanced in terms of teams (Solid guys from MVP, fOu, IM, SlayerS, Prime, ST, and oGs) and I want to maximize the bonus points I get from players on the winning team of a match. Plus I think these guys are likely to play. I guess the most obvious downsize is Younghwa or GuMiho but I still kinda want both of them. Anyone have suggestions for modifications/alternatives?

I would never get rid of Younghwa or GuMiho because they are basically the horses for their respective team in the all-kill format. They will usualy aways be sent out and have the potential to win 2-3 games.
Get rid of ACE and pick up another 1 point player imo, I think Ace is overrated at 2 points and he has been getting crushed in korean competition as of late.
Personally I think Jjun could be quite the steal along with Creator

I like it as well, that is almost exactly my team, but I don't have BBoongBBoong or MMA. I'd recommend downgrading from MMA (or DRG) to a cheaper, mid-range player. MMA has been used a lot in the past, but SlayerS probably won't have to use him against TSL, Prime, F.United etc. If you get a 5/6-pointer instead of him you could also get a stronger player than BBoongBBoong.

Acro
Main Team 5 Alicia 4 GuMiho 1 Hero 1 IMHappy 6 Leenock 8 MarineKing (captain) 2 Qxc 3 Younghwa 6 StarTale
Anti Team 5 Lyn 5 Moon 4 ThorZaIN
Picked mainly based on the first few weeks. From week 3 onward I will start removing players from my anti-team, but my main team is something I feel is fairly straightforward: I picked the 3 starters I feel should win in the first week (and Happy was so cheap it was impossible not to choose him). MKP as captain seems like he'll be used a lot on Prime: he's solid and creative.
As far as I know you can also trade your main team every week, so I reckon I'll change it every week to whoever's playing FXO
EDIT: thanks for telling me how to trade. Fixed my team a bit. I saw someone saying HuK isn't in the official oGs lineup, so took him out of my team

You could swap Younghwa for Noblesse, as Noblesse is already guaranteed to start the first match. If he fails however, he could become pretty much untradeable if he doesn't get a 2nd chance but as MVP does'nt have the quantity of (known) high tier players afaik, he should get his matches, at least if DRG doesn't all-kill everyone after the first match
I really wanted to pick HuK, since I do think he will get his chances, but him not being on the "official" line up made me go with someone else, the same applies for TheStc.

Good point on creator/Jjun, I was kind of thinking that too on creator with how well he's done, I might swap him out with BBoong for my prime rep. Maybe drop Ace for Jjun, but what to do with that extra point.. ;_;
asperger, I had also originally switched MMA with Alicia, but I'm not sure if Alicia will actualy play a whole ton (he will first match obv) because he seems like more of a sniper. I'm not sure who else on Slayers I could expect to play a lot.

Alicia actually seems to have been played a whole lot during the GSTL, so he wouldn't be a bad pick. Another Slayers player sure to be sent out would be TaeJa, but he's only 2 points.
If you somehow manage to get Curious on your team, I think he's the best ST player for the points. Squirtle seems to be played more often in the team leagues, but he's been slumping pretty hard recently.
