Example Player A goes on a 2 game win streak and then loses to the opponents Ace, he scores: 2x2 points for winning + 1 point for appearing - 1 point for losing = 4 points Ace player that shut him down scores: 2x1 point for winning + 1 point for appearing + 2 points for breaking the streak = 5 points If it is a 3 game win streak it is 6 and 5 respectively... but either way breaking winstreaks is rewarded nearly as much as going on them. Yeah, I know, but I think you'll get those 4 points more often than the 5 for pretty much the same cost of points when picking the players.

I work a lot around the pro's and talk to a lot of them on a daily basis. Well if they really said that then they are getting waaaay ahead of themselves in my opinion. NesTea has proven himself, while DonRaeGu has not won much. Yeah he performed very well in the last GSTL and he won the LG tournament but NesTea has won 2 GSLs. Plus, DRG failed to quality for next season's Code A if I recall correctly.
Results and statistics aren't necessarily the most accurate indicators of skill and potential.

Mario
Main Team 5 GuineaPig Random player FTW? 4 HongUn kinda cheesy, but he made carriers once and it was cool. 1 Jinro at one point, he was the top foreigner, hoping he gets out of his slump soon 3 Kyrix so many BANELINGS 4 NaDa (captain) come on, who could be a better captain than NaDa, one of the most consistant players in the GSL, even tho he's never gotten to the finals 7 sC he's improved every season, can't pass him up 3 Sheth can't wait to see how he preforms in korea 6 Trickster Mothership rush FTW? 3 Team SCV Life best team salary =D
Anti Team 4 FruitDealer been preforming poorly 8 Polt took the finals away from MMA, he shall never be forgiven! 3 RainBOw same as fruitdealer, but even worse, he lost to grubby in the NASL.

+ Show Spoiler +
Leenock, Raibow and Fruitdealer will always be in the anti team, they are not regular and generally perform poorly.
DRG the Gosu for team captain. The rest of the team is based on players that will regularly play and some of them go on streaks. No 1 or 2 pointers and not a lot of really big names, but all the players do well in a regular basis.

I would take him off that anti-team... especially since fOu doesn't exactly what that many amazing players... so Leenock will play almost eveyr week.

they need to end the deadline now so i stop changing my team every 5 minutes hahaha. XD
Anyways, i decided to combine two previous lineups and see how it goes. consists of a beast player and team, with some solid support, and some rising players (hopefully)
Team Darknesss
+ Show Spoiler +
Reasoning: + Show Spoiler + Main Team: Ace: idk about him, but people seem to say that he's one of the best 2 point picks. Alicia: up and coming toss that is pretty good, and hes SlayerS :D BBoongBBong: idk about his individual stats, but seems to perform okay in team leagues. GuineaPig: same reasoning as above, has done well in team leagues, and is random, which i heard is pretty valuable. Hero: pretty good toss pick for one point (didn't he beat DRG to get into code A?) MMA: he's MMA, nothing else to say lol SuperNoVa: up and coming terran that was cheaper than NaDa. TheStC: heard he's good, kinda hyped, and coming back from military, and only 2 points. Incredible Miracle: beast team, with the three-headed monster of LosirA, Mvp, and NesTea. I checked their schedule and they seem to have easy matchups (with the exception of perhaps StarTale in week 10?), so they will roll over their competition.
Anti-Team: Choya: hes a coach i think, so he won't be playing as much. FruitDealer: hes in a slump, hopefully, this won't be tourney he breaks out or i'm screwed lol. Trickster: heard he's kinda inconsistent, so not worth 6 points?
I'm new to this sort of thing, so did i make any gaping errors or good moves? Comments would be appreciated :D

Signups need to be closed, I've completely changed my team about 4 times now XD

He hasn't performed at all since he won GSL Open Season 1. He doesn't spend much time practicing and does poorly in team leagues. Your faith is misplaced

lol yea rainbow deserves being on the anti-team, but putting leenock there too would be shooting self in the foot... however there's not a lot of bad 6 pointers... trickster and his friend fruitdealer don't take the game too seriously and were public about it but their fundamentals are very strong.
EDIT: i still really want to put trickster on my anti-team lol...hopefully does well initially and i can trade into him

¯\_(シ)_/¯ Sup Zerg
Main Team 4 Line 8 MarineKing (captain) 4 Min 5 Moon 5 San 2 ViOlet 2 YuGiOh 5 Zenio 1 [tlpd#teams##sc2-korean]F.United[/tlpd]
Anti Team 3 Kyrix 9 MC 1 Tgun
I picked some strong mid tier zergs as I think they will perform better then most peoples expectations. Maybe mid/low tier protoss would be better as they tend to be put out first and have in the past performed all kills. Choosing MC on anti team is obviously a huge risk but who knows it might pay off :D

I mean QXC gave him trouble in a 70 minute base race game. I dropped DRG after he didnt make code a.

Doa's Team
Main Team 2 CoCa + Show Spoiler +Easily one of Zenex's best players at the moment. If they get any wins in their matches there's a good chance a few of them will come from this guy. 1 Creator + Show Spoiler +I honestly thing Creator is a huge steal at 1 point. This kid is so solid; especially for his age. I expect Prime to use him a lot more this season. 4 GuMiho + Show Spoiler +One of fOu's best players last season and a really solid team league player overall. fOu isn't that deep so I'm expecting this guy to see action fairly frequently and get some wins. 6 Leenock + Show Spoiler + 9 MMA (captain) + Show Spoiler +Best player in GSTL history? Made the Super Tournament finals? Some of the best multi-tasking in SC2? Amazing TvT and TvZ? Easy choice although I'm a little worried about Protoss snipers being prepared by other teams for him. 4 NaNiwa + Show Spoiler +He's shown himself to be able to go toe to toe with Koreans and he's got an amazing work ethic when it comes to improving. He'll probably play every match F.United is in too. *fingers crossed!* 2 Taeja + Show Spoiler +His all-kill last season aside, I really think this guy is another rising Terran star. He came within one game of getting to go to MLG instead of July as well. It's hard to go wrong with Slayers Terrans. He's a great deal at 2 points. My only concern is that he might not be played as much as Ryung, who's got better sniper potential. 2 Tassadar + Show Spoiler +I feel like this guy is really underrated. Although his record isn't too stellar yet I think we'll be seeing good things from him in the future. He is on San's team after all. I'm guessing he'll see a lot of games over the course of the season as well. 4 MVP + Show Spoiler +Easily the best team for the points in my opinion. They're going to be even better than they were last season. Expect Guinea Pig and Keen to get a lot more wins. A really solid choice if you're low on points after your player selections.
Team league is way different ballgame than the regular 1v1 tournaments. You have to weigh overall player strength with what players are talented at preparing to snipe other players. I also like to base my picks around who I felt showed a lot of potential last season and in recent events. My picks might seem odd at times, but I know my Korean SC2 players. Trust me on that one.
Anti Team 7 aLive + Show Spoiler +I'm worried about this pick, but He's inconsistent enough that I think things should turn out ok. 4 FruitDealer + Show Spoiler +Unless FD really changes some things about his play he'll still be in the same bad spot as he was the previous team leagues. 3 RainBOw + Show Spoiler +Sorry Rainbow, you were a fun 4v4 partner, but you're 1v1 has been lacking lately.
Ugh. I hate picking the anti-team since I like alll 3 of these players. The fact is though, the inconsistent players have the best chance of getting played and losing. Simple as that.
So there you go. We'll see if my unique insight into the Korean scene works out.

Sangho's only really valuable as a zerg sniper but there aren't that many really strong zergs in group A (aside from DRG).

I used a computer to pick players with the highest possible combined ELO while staying within the point limits. The first team it gave me didn't have any protoss, so I had to make it pick at least one protoss and try again.

BOSS
Main Team 1 Cella 1 HuK 1 Jinro 9 MC (captain) 4 NaNiwa 8 NesTea 3 Sheth 4 ThorZaIN 5 Old GenerationS
Anti Team 2 Ace 8 MarineKing 3 RainBOw
The BOSSTOSS for the captain, just goes without saying, MC is just GDLK.
I picked players I can't stand / dislike for my anti-team because they are anti-BOSS.
(Also: Wanted July is my team, because they are also proven BOSS but they guy was just too expensive. NaDa too.)

i wonder if i'll be able to trade off thorzain and moon at week 6 for members of hoseo... for anti team

antelopes
Main Team 1 Hero - beat DRG for code A qualifiers ton of potential for a 1 point player. 8 MarineKing - Doesn't seem to be a popular pick but solid in every matchup and prime's ace. One of the most consistent performers in Korea too. 9 MMA (captain) - best GSTL player so far and great individual results lately. Since he's fairly new to the scene I don't think he's due for a drop in performance yet. 4 NaNiwa - I think he has what it takes to succeed in Korea and will get a good amount of playtime with Fox. 3 Sage - Tried to spread out my picks to at least one player per team and this guy seems solid for NsH...hopefully will have at least some decent performances. 2 Taeja - beasted in CoH tourney and Slayers keeps churning out top terrans. 2 ViOlet - Same reasoning as Sage 2 Yoda - Looked good to qualify for code A taking out his teammate. Hopefully will get some decent playtime. 5 Old GenerationS - have underperformed in GSTL so far but easily have the talent/coaching to win the whole thing if they perform to their potential. Anti Team 7 aLive - worst 7 point player imo just a matter of math. 1 Jinro - slumping hard 5 Moon - has had terrible results in Korea in comparison to foreign tourneys.

I just noticed everyone has the Betas best Terran(Rainbow), Protoss(Tester/Trickster), and Zerg(Fruit Dealer) in their anti team. I miss when they were so good
