Nice for Painuser tho, but I don't know if he can train a lot with his job.
^_^ My first thoughts.

Nice to see that Frisky found a team, good player.

Strange but wonderful news. Hope they have time to work and train. Congrats.
|
thanks guys for the support!

Didn't painuser already say he was pretty much done with competitive SC2 play for now?
Either way, good luck to you guys.
|
Ok this is quite odd.
But who cares, best of luck to Painuser and HD as well as VP growing as a team! ^_^

Congrats to HD and Painuser. I was getting worried they'd never be signed.
|
But... they never play ._________. Why are they signing on a team?
Nonetheless, congrats. I love Painsuer :3 Go Taylor!

Fuck yeah HD! And PainUser too!

ouch Congrats to HD and PainUser, though. Apparently my friend works like 10 feet away from them programming at IGN but he knows jack shit about SC... Cool stuff.
|
I'm a bit confused...didn't PainUser recently say that he didn't have any time to practice with his IGN job? I mean he had a rough time competing in the NASL with his current schedule.
Is VP signing on HD/PainUser as sponsered casters? Kinda like how complexity gaming is looking to sponser a caster?
|
For the record HD was with LG. He doesn't play, so I guess he's more like a Torch thing, media and shit.
|
Grats to all involved and best of luck to you. Great people!

HD starcraft isn't pro-level in my opinion... i beat him on ladder last season and in custom. I was 3300 point master season 1, and I'm at 1100 points season 2. Still, best of luck to him!

Not sure what HD's shape is like, but we have all seen what PainUser can do when he puts his mind to it. Good pickup, grats to VP

I can't help but feel like more and more players that aren't deserving keep getting teams. I'm looking to "get more and more competitive" as well, but I don't have a mediocre youtube casting career that's loved by a ton of people who don't mind inability to analyze the game. Pretty soon we'll see TotalBiscuit on a team as well. I can understand Painuser because he has a history being a solid performer when he practices, but you can find much better talent that wants it and deserves it more than HDstarcraft.
This is similarly frustrating to root's B team getting signed by complexity. They sign root and lose their only 2 decent players in the process. Glad we get to see more of catz not showing up to MLG games under a different tag. Lots of bad players getting signed because they're popular names and not because they actually deserve it.
Good luck to Painuser though, would love to see him compete and do well again.

Who was that that said internet stardom was now becoming more important than actual professionals or one's ability in the competitive scene?
Sounds like a DJWheat topic for his imo!
