EDIT: Didn't watch the stream so I didn't realize there was a no-show / boxer forced to wait for hours issue. Too bad, assumed there was a more transparent communication with nasl. Oh about NASL, on djwheat's show taylor said he now has a fulltime job with IGN and that NASL won't let him reschedule his matches to be outside of work hours. Seems pretty reasonable to me, don't see why he would "owe" anyone anything. Its pretty obv he hasnt had the time to play/prepare anyway.

When you go into a tournament you know all the details before hand and agree to it. He should just tell the NASL he wants to pullout and be done with it instead of beating around the bush.

So NASL was forced to make Boxer wake up at 3am, and sit there and wait until the waiting grace period is over. Boxer got upset about it as well and rightfully so.

At the very least it would give his opponent a confirmation so that the poor Koreans don't have to wake up at 3am and sit in front of their computer waiting an hour for a no show. Its pretty easy to tell the Koreans that PainUser has basically withdrawn from NASL so they don't have to wake up.

I really thought he would play Boxer because he spoke so highly of the guy, and that is quite the experience of a lifetime... to play an actual competitive game against Boxer, but not only did he pass on it (his choice) but he made Boxer wake up and wait... that's just disrespectful.

In the real world, not burning bridges and maintaining professionalism goes a long way. Of course some people go overboard with "OMG crucify him!" but I don't see how hard it is to pick up the phone or hell even text NASL that you are not going to show up anymore as to not waste everyones time. NASL mentioned they have tried to contact him and those that know him to find out what's going on yet no response from him ( at least from tonight's NASL show).

PainUser has to communicate it to them. --Ok, you're bowing out. That sucks, but at least we can notify your opponents.-- Instead, he doesn't communicate at all so his opponents still have to show in case he decides to play. You can't speak for someone unless they have communicated what they want said.

Unfortunately, I watched the Idra interview before I read the rest of the thread... but I won't watch anymore! You reap what you sow, PainUser!

Because maybe NASL still hasn't received an official word from him after trying to contact him for weeks? Hence the Incontrol rant which was understandable.
