What happened? If he didn't show up im pretty sure its cause hes done playing competitively for awhile, as he said on inside the game. If something else happened please enlighten me.

Nice interview with major

EDIT: Didn't watch the stream so I didn't realize there was a no-show / boxer forced to wait for hours issue. Too bad, assumed there was a more transparent communication with nasl.

Oh about NASL, on djwheat's show taylor said he now has a fulltime job with IGN and that NASL won't let him reschedule his matches to be outside of work hours.

Seems pretty reasonable to me, don't see why he would "owe" anyone anything. Its pretty obv he hasnt had the time to play/prepare anyway.

Making players like Boxer get up at like 4am and being a no show is definitely inexcusable. When you go into a tournament you know all the details before hand and agree to it. He should just tell the NASL he wants to pullout and be done with it instead of beating around the bush.

Congrats on your failure to notify the NASL that you wouldn't being participating, and having Slayers Boxer wait around for hours after waking up at 3 in the morning. Stay classy!

He didn't confirm with NASL that he is no show. So NASL was forced to make Boxer wake up at 3am, and sit there and wait until the waiting grace period is over. Boxer got upset about it as well and rightfully so.

So, someone should do a counter-interview and ask if Painuser plans to show up for next week's NASL games plz. At the very least it would give his opponent a confirmation so that the poor Koreans don't have to wake up at 3am and sit in front of their computer waiting an hour for a no show.

Its pretty easy to tell the Koreans that PainUser has basically withdrawn from NASL so they don't have to wake up.

Except from what it seems like, Painuser apparently said nothing about withdrawing from the NASL. Herein lies the issue.

I really thought he would play Boxer because he spoke so highly of the guy, and that is quite the experience of a lifetime... to play an actual competitive game against Boxer, but not only did he pass on it (his choice) but he made Boxer wake up and wait... that's just disrespectful.

In the real world, not burning bridges and maintaining professionalism goes a long way. Of course some people go overboard with "OMG crucify him!" but I don't see how hard it is to pick up the phone or hell even text NASL that you are not going to show up anymore as to not waste everyones time. NASL mentioned they have tried to contact him and those that know him to find out what's going on yet no response from him ( at least from tonight's NASL show).

NASL can't make that decision for PainUser. PainUser has to communicate it to them. --Ok, you're bowing out. That sucks, but at least we can notify your opponents.-- Instead, he doesn't communicate at all so his opponents still have to show in case he decides to play. You can't speak for someone unless they have communicated what they want said.

I am tempted to watch the interviews, but after what he done to Boxer today, not showing up for his match with him and let him wait, I will refrain from it.

How do you know he hasn't told them he's done playing? He basically announced it on inside the game.

Unfortunately, I watched the Idra interview before I read the rest of the thread... but I won't watch anymore! You reap what you sow, PainUser!

Because they said they have not been able to contact PainUser on the NASL cast. He has been a no-show 3 weeks.

Because maybe NASL still hasn't received an official word from him after trying to contact him for weeks? Hence the Incontrol rant which was understandable.
