The old one was much better - these ones don't look like uniforms for esports, they look like what kids in high school wear. I can imagine nestea or mvp looking really awkward in that.
Edit: picture posted, nestea does look really awkward in it.
I liked the IM Team jackets. I thought the IM team had the coolest jackets along with Startale. It is cool that IM has a new sponsor but I am not digging the style of the shirts, personally.
I think they are pretty cool actually, but is it just me or do the colors on the collar look like they are trying to emulate the German flag? These look like Team Germany national uniforms, not Incredible Miracle uniforms... haha.
But, they are a big step up from the plain black T-shirts, imo.
Can't you guys see even Googims know they look weird but it will spread like crazy. It is just a marketing plan, a pretty good one I believe
"Hey did you see NesTea with that shirt?" "haha yeah! I wonder who's sponsoring them!" "Googims I've heard, want to go by their store to see if they have other crazy shirts?" "sure!"
They will probably get those black shirt eventually
nestea looks weird in that shirt to me lol. good there finding sponsors, i remember hearing they at one point didn't have any which sucks for a team with 2 gsl champs
The college jackets were the best uniform in the history of e-sport clothing !!! I hope they still wear them, athough they'll look crappy with the yellow shirts.
looks awful.. BUT..you got to be happy. IM is finally getting sponsors. First Coke now a appeal company. Atleast SC2 teams are starting to get notice. Good for Esport.
Having a clear team color is important for branding and fan identity, like Slayer's iconic blue. If IM find a better shade of yellow, I think it will be a good move for them.
I wonder if they realize how the uniform resembles the German flag. Heck, I could order one, walk around on the street here in Germany and people would think I'd bought the uniform of some national team. At least with the Korean flag they can claim to have had it before Pepsi changed their logo (I think).
The uniform doesn't look all that great but the fact that lifestyle sponsors are getting involved in SC2 more and more makes this a great change no matter what.
the problem is that the yellow color reminds you of the kind of yellow that all fast food companies use in their uniforms and as such you think about fast food when seeing it. The red logos arent big enough so they dont work when trying to get you to think about IM and Googims. As such they dont look like progamers when wearing it and that leaves you with the fast food worker look.
Maybe if it was a brighter or darker yellow but right now not so much, it's great that they got a new sponsor though :D
Back in college, some kid with a popped collar on his polo walked into a party my roommates and I were hosting. 30 seconds later, he walked out with a hand over his bloody nose.
Uniforms are fine even if the pale yellow/red is a little aesthetically displeasing to my taste, but popped collars? Unacceptable - I don't think I can get behind them.
The popped collar is cute, heaven forbid people actually have a little fun with their clothing. I guess I'm the only person here who actually thinks those shirts are cool, it's nice to see something bold that stands out for a change.
Hahahahahahaha, damn, that colour is terrible. I liked their old style, if a little basic. I mean, yea, a change would have been nice, but from that to this?
For Googims being a fashon company I would've hoped they could come up with something better than a fast food looking polo. I think they are butt ugly. Hopefully the players will get something better in the future.

EDIT: Never mind. They popped their collars. ._.
I haven't laughed so hard at a post in a long time. =)
As far as the uniforms, yeah... Not really that big of a fan. I didn't really like the old ones either, but these are far worse. Oh well, if it's anything like Brood War they'll be changing again in 6 months to a year.
The shirt would be fine if they got rid of the big Googims text on the front of the shirt. The combination of that and the shirt's logo makes it look like a fast food worker uniform with the name tag underneath the name of the restaurant.
Thought it was a little silly at first, then I realized the collars were popped. Now IM is the coolest team in the world. I wish I could be that cool. EG, your move. I'm waiting to see IdrA and iNcontroL with those popped collars. :D
While it's pretty awesome they are sponsored by like a nice clothing store company my first reaction to seeing MVP in this was ... he works at a fast food chain now?
Gigantic style points for alternative coloring, the IM badge looks awesome in red/white, and the black pants compliment everything. Add those to the fact that nobody else in the GSL can break out of the tracksuit model, and IM further extends their lead in sc2 style.
The bright yellow is actually a good choice all things considered as it forces people to notice the shirt, and the sponsor logos that are on it. And hell, it's different which is worthy of some credit alone.
I'm no fan of the shirt, but getting more sponsors is always good and I'm sure IM will stick kick ass despite looking like they work in some fast food joint. IMO keep the sponsor, change the shirt, even just a calmer color instead of that bright yellow would be a lot better
It's just a bad color balance. Look at the Dignitas hoodies for comparison: a lot more black makes the yellow pop out and draws your eye across the hoodie.
Terrible. It looks like they're working at a damn fast food place.and they popped their collars... Seriously though I really liked their old jackets they were pretty baller.
I bet thats what NesTea wears to the club when him and Fruitdealer go drinking! Plus you know Tasteless is gonna be rocking one, homeboys all about them bright polos.

It may sound surprising to some people, but the order in which the colors appear in a flag actually DOES matter...
Edit : ookay.. if you look at the tiny stripes at the sleeves and not at the collar like I did, it turns out that way :D Nevertheless I doubt that this is in any way intented :D
when i first saw it i was like damn thats an ugly shirt. What the heck... their jacket was so cool. They looked like those cool football jocks in their football jackets. Now they look like they work at McD.
For those who are curious the old jackets were also from a pretty 'high-end' Korean brand called Liful the jackets were part of the '08 autumn/winter collection. source I remember seeing a few fakes sold in markets last year, wish I had bought one at the time. I think Prime wears Liful also. (those big lime green jackets)
Man seems like everyone hates the new shirts. I think they look sweet, I mean no one else wears yellow yet so they are just kinda claiming it now. I think its a good choice.
I gotta agree with ya Kallen~^^ I think that the new shirt is a good change. I think they look like race car drivers. I like the strong yellow with red and black accent. The old jacket wasn't bad, but it is gettin HOT in Korea and they couldn't wear that jacket anymore. lol So, from a functional stand point, the change makes sense as well. Also, reflects that IM is getting more sponsors. For such a high quality team, they had trouble getting sponsorship in the beginning.
As a personal preference, I just don't like the look of the new shirt. Not a big fan of the color and the whole thing just looks cheap to me (even if it might cost a lot).

Woah... just saw this.
What the fuck? Some people have weird fashion sense. That doesn't give you the right to beat the shit out of them.
I like it. Brings some colour to the perpetual gloom of the studios :p Whether anyone else can pull of the collar pop is irrelevant - Nestea could come in wearing a godzilla suit and still be awesome.

Haha are you for real? You so gangster! Beating up people that don't have the same style as you do...
I thought the sport jackets were freaking baller, sad to see them go. I'd rather see them use the blue polos from Googims linked earlier, because the only thing bothering me is the color (and the collar).

its annoying that you alwaysy have to explain everything to the last detail because some people just dont get it. i think in his surroundings, and it mine too, wearing a polo with a popped collar equals douchebag^10, so this douchebag, distinguishable by his popped collar, walks into the party and because he is a douchebag, he acts like a douchebag, and gets his nose broken because thats what douchebags get when theyre not douchebagging in larger groups.

got it?
That basically sums it up perfectly. For the record, neither I - nor anyone I actually knew - was violent, nor I do I condone violence based on what someone wears.
I'm not a big fan of the uniform change but maybe after some time it will be more "them" if that makes sense. I was on a baseball team that had horrible uniforms but eventually I got used to them and afterwards in retrospect really liked them.
Nestea popping his collar like the massive boss that he is. I actually like the uniforms, and think they work with the pants. Would like to see the entire IM team in them as well
