I hate to break this to you but you're never going to get good at any aspect of sc2 without playing. You can't develop game sense from watching vods.
Any pro can watch his own replay and point out 1000 mistakes, even game sense is all about execution. You guys know what I mean, sometimes you do stupid things even though you know they are stupid just because you're moving so fast lol.

Great read, always liked watching theSTC <3

Nice! I was wondering where he went, since I enjoyed watching him early on... Great to see he's back, and hopefully he'll wreck some GSL, as I remember him being pretty good...

Basically, the average Korean progamers have good mechanics while the top players have good game sense as well. Whereas the average Foreign progamers have good game sense but the top foreigners also have good mechanics.
That sound true, and well formuled.

I didn't play during the beginning of sc2, was this guy really good or something?

Also I believe he holds Gisado KOTH record.
He was definitely one of the top and up-and-coming players. His decision making was good and his micro was off the charts. In fact if I recall correctly the first time I saw an insane marine split vs. speed banelings, it was from TheStC.
Hopefully he's still on top of his game

Nice interview. Must say the replays were disappointing though. I remember him being a really creative, fun player to watch in the beta, but these games were just super generic builds that weren't even executed that well. I hope it's just him being rusty, but, for instance, he should never have won that tvz. But I'm really glad he's back!

I've seen crazyass builds from TheStC a couple of times and I was starving for replays. Thanx for replay pack!

I like this guy, he seems like a classy dude

Excellent news that he's finally back! He was the absolute beast during Beta and I've followed his efforts ever since. I think he can go very far when he gets back to full time training.

This guy is crazy good, glad that he's come back!

Replays? :O :O
TheStC is a beast, I can't wait to see how he does in the next GSL.
Awesome interview, and thanks a bunch for getting those replays! Gonna check 'em out now. ^^

Stc is one of my fav terrans in SC2 so i hope he starts to dominate.

Can't wait to see him in full form
A while back (a couple of months ago) I made a post about him and Jinro responded that he was in fact still a beast and he still played a decent amount even though he was in the army.

One of my favourite Terrans since beta. I've always tried to grab replays of his whenever they're available. Awesome that he's done with military service - I can see him going really far.

Loved watching this guy play oGsCool (FD) back in the beta, hope to see him in GSL/GSTL
