I'm wondering how game 2 would have played out if Idra had gotten his ups, or if he thrown down a macro hatch earlier (to pump extra speedlings). Cruncher's build (in the true nature of all his builds!) really abused strength of blink stalkers, and I feel he could have thrown down a 3rd and transitioned out of that decently. I mean he wasn't that close to being mined out. Blink stalkers pretty decent against hydras in when there's a wide concave on both sides. Crunchers micro was sick though, but I mean when you're not macroing at all anymore and have 10 gates on 2 base I guess all you have to do is micro. Missing a gateway cooldown np. If you can't tell, upsets me to see Idra lose when he's 60 supply up in roach/hydra and Cruncher just runs 10 gates 2 base and crushes ~_~ Cruncher fighting though! Just not against Idra <3. Always fun to see these two go at it, even I wish Idra stomps  | ||

Sir, this wouldn't be the TL forums as of late if there wouldn't be any hate at all after an upset... but yeah CoL is a good team, I wish people -- mostly puberts and teenagers I guess -- would focus on the winner's attributes rather than talking shit about the loser, but it will never happen unless the winner is hyped enough. | ||

For those thinking EG would have won easily in a KOTH/winner's league style event, note that Idra dropped a game in both sets, so he's not unbeatable. Also EG did not place in top 2 in either SGL season 1 or 2, which was a winner's league style team league. That being said, 2nd is indeed not a poor showing at all. The playoffs for team leagues can be unforgiving at times - you can perform extremely well the entire season, but then lose a match or 2 in the playoffs and thus not meet your potential. EG gets a ton of exposure, and thus expectations are extremely high for them. It's understandable where the "hate" comes from, although I'd label it more as "surprise." But the truth is, it's very volatile at the top, and while EG is certainly one of the best teams in NA if not the best, many other teams are on par or close behind them. But that just makes things more exciting :D | ||

Demuslim has only shown form during his comeback. He got EG's only win against Dignitas in the EG masters cup (2-0 against Merz, a TvT sniper). Idra and Demuslim are the top EG players atm. Watch Demu at columbus, his current form suggests (as long as he sorts his TvZ out, he's starting to practice with Idra) he should place really well there. People saying Demuslim doesn't fit EG, is probably because of the unfortunate timing of his arm-break which happened just after he joined. EG masters cup was his first tourney representing them afaik. | ||

Sounds like a bunch of excuses. EG consistently underperforms (outside of Idra) and that includes you buddy. You want fans you want to be professionals, then win. You don't see why people are bashing EG yet you sit there and say things like "Obviously in top shape with top lineup we probably win... But CoL was better team, congratulate them"... really? If you really wanted to congratulate them then you wouldn't throw in comments like that. All you would say is "They beat us, congratulate them". You wouldn't sit there and made excuses or try to justify why you lost. | ||
