How are people still talking about this?
There is no argument defending Destiny. He came on to a show to have a discussion. Instead of listening to other peoples point of view, he just kept rehashing the same dead end points over and over. His mindset was, "If I talk louder and faster than everybody else, then that'll make them agree with me."
iNcontroL's jokes were not that offensive (I say this as someone who was offended by the avilo situation) If these are the most offensive comments you've heard, you've lived a very sheltered life. Time to take a spoon of cement and harden the fuck up.
Destiny threw a lowblow at the other guys on the show, and then hung up before anyone could respond. That is universally known as being a little pussy bitch, and djwheat had every right to react the way he did.
People like to make comparisons between starcraft and other mediums. Well I bet no one here has ever written to the writers of Family Guy, or South Park when they've made an offensive or controversial joke. Why do it in this case? Is it because you like the sound of your own voice? You like to see your name up on the internet and see a celebrity replying to it? Because you know that you are an average, mundane, absolutely fucking boring potato, who will never contribute anything worth while to society and you need to have your little "LOOK AT ME!" moment before you die and are forgotten forever?
Haters gonna hate. Let's let them behind while we as the community grows something awesome.

What a great mentality rather then try to do something we'll just complain and accept it and tell people gtfo typical considering they don't actually have to show results to get paid and are getting paid salary.
Also its obvious djwheat is a TWITCH employee not someone who generally cares about the sc2 scene as he said the overall revenue for streams are up and sc2 is lower.
Im pretty sure a lot of people watch sc2 and not actually play it and that will be fine to wheat cause that means general streaming revenue is up who cares if no one watches sc2 right?
I really feel sorry for the pros and casters who come on the forums and read what people say about them LOL...it's just so inaccurate and dramatized. This particular gem was written by a 10-post account...wonder what his last account was banned for. Amazing what people will spew out of their mouths...the quality of argument on this site can be so fucking terrible lol.

PainUser + so many for being the only mature one in that whole thing, props to you man.

I just think it's hilarious how much this community bitches and whines about people getting in trouble for dick pics or comments about abusing 14 year olds, but when someone acts like a dick on a radio show they do the same thing as the trolls they claim to hate.
|
Wow I didn't expect this episode would generate so much complaining. I thought it was pretty tame compared to some of the things that have come off the rails in the past. Why does everything have to be pushed to 11 these days? It wasn't like this before (I don't think I'm rosecoloredglassing saying that). I mean yes sure in retrospect probably could have been handled better but they are all adults they can cope right? It's a loss, you look at the replay, identify where you went wrong, work on that in the next game. No need to make it the end of esports sigh.
Thanks for all the hard work DJW. Don't give up.

I'm a DJWheat fan, but please...
1. You brought destiny on, and knew he would be hostile as fuck 2. Idra, Incontrol, and you were ridiculous during his entire time on the show 3. Destiny was ridiculous too 4. You went berserk when he left 5. The community reacted to the unnecessary drama that Destiny, Incontrol, Idra, and YOU brought to the episode 6. Don't be a pussy and end the show
We still love you DJWheat, but come ON. Be the better man here, let this unnecessary drama slide, and NEVER act like that again.

why do people do this? nobody fucking cares. you don't get to decide how things are scaled just because you admit to getting caremad about some other sc2 drama thing.

My whole post was on getting over it. Get over it..... Ok good job, now we can move on

We still have chanmanV and Roots show, its all good.

People are still talking about this shit?
Get it in your thick skulls. If you were offended, don't watch it. It's not for you.
The "starcraft community" is actually a bunch of grandparents writing letters to South Park and the Simpsons because they are offended.
I use quotes because I don't consider you guys part of the starcraft community. Not part of the relevant portion, anyways. I doubt half the people crying have ever gone to an event or supported the game in any meaningful sense.
edit: if ITG and LO3 actually end because of this, the terrorists win. DO IT FOR AMERICA WHEAT

Your whole post was about getting over it? Are you serious...
There is no argument defending Destiny.

Can you tell us how more your post can be only summarized at the end with "haters gonna hate, lets get over it" your post is obviously biased. please tell us more and back up your heros with what the community can do to expand SC2
I agree with Destiny, Blizzard needs to move or let us do real innovation with their game. Community was the best at being coming up with new innovations for SCBW... to mention, "hacked" map editors, "ICCUP!!!!" game launcher, amazing Maps, Mini-Lan Tournaments. how can we make these new ideas with Blizzard not helping, and restricting every single way we can innovate the game.
SCBW lives on in TL and I'm so glad we have News about SCBW... thinking of switching back just for the custom games

For your information i dont post much because i don't want too and why would i get banned for pointing out a issue and posting something that is true? What about you get your head of your ass and be open minded ohh wait its cause is it cause you have 1k post im sure that means a lot right?
Not defending destiny im just talking about the state of the mind of a "professional flag ship show of sc2" telling people if you dont like it gtfo and play another game. I wont bother posting in this if this is the mind frame of the community cause this is rubbish and id just enjoy another esports community its all good as long as esports right?

He's obviously referring to Destiny's attitude on the show, not his arguments.

I have to say I'm not suprised, Geoff said that he left SOTG for all the drama/shit that he was getting, especially after the last 2 shows. Even if he loved sotg, the shit he was getting made him stop. After the last ITG, I've never seen so much hate towards him. Every post he has done on reddit for the last week have been down voted to oblivion. If he's trying to get away from drama than fuck if I would be him I would leave itg after what happened since the last show..
No incontrol=no itg, so they will prob cancel the show for good if he leaves

I see you're a professional journalist the way you pick and choose select quotes to change the context and suit your agenda. I'd have you an A+
I don't disagree with Destiny's arguments. Just the way he conducted himself on the show. My post is in regards to the utter trivial nature of the online discussion that has continued after the show. It's a real non issue. Destiny made a bad case for his cause. The other guys shut him down. He then whimped out, and djwheat called him on it, albeit in a verbose manner... so why are we still talking about it?

I honestly find the amount of drama just hilarious. No one of them acted far off their usual behavior pattern yet all of the sudden this is something causing some sort of uproar ?

There's nothing else really going on... I'm sure this will all go away after MLG's over.

Yay for hypersensitivity.
First of all it's HIS show, if you don't like it don't watch it. If djWHEATs wants to close the show don't whine/biatch around now. What did you expect? him taking all the shit and just go on since HE OWES the community? People don't realize that the show is a service from him and the others and not something you paid to consume.
I would recommend everybody to chill out ... *see what I did there?XD* and take a time out, since there were 5 individuals on the show who wanted to make their point valid. And it ended in chaos, so what? it's not the first time it happened and will not be the last time. Even if the community don't like to admit it, but that shit is what we love to watch or not?
