Call ins are nearly always completely awful. The amount of terrible questions which are little more than attempts to get pros to agree with their point while delivering them in a horribly inarticulate manner staggeringly outnumbers those who put any thoguht at all in to their question.

For a start I wouldn't let anyone phone in with a strategy or balance question.

I would like to know the specifics of calling in, i.e. when to call (before you finish your current one, after you finish your current one, at soon as you say you're starting the calls), what will happen when I call, etc, etc.

Here is my understanding of how calling in works. Wheat opens up the phone lines and then his skype comes up with a bunch of names of people who are calling in. When he finishes talking to a caller he hangs up and chooses another caller from the bunch of names who are currently calling into the show. Because the stream is going to be delayed anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds a lot of the time you're not going to know when a call is going to end so your best bet would be to continuously call.

When you call in (on skype) its just going to be like any other skype call, its going to beep for 2 minutes or so and then if he hasn't picked up it will say "Call to djWHEAT 10:48. No answer." At this point you can call in again or you can give it a few minutes and try again. I'm not sure if Wheat wants everyone calling in constantly (maybe it would be more chaotic/harder to manage or stress his computer, I'm not sure) but it has to be your best bet if you want your call answered.

The best way to get ready to call in is to turn your computer's volume up and then listen to the show at half or less volume. This way if wheat picks up your call you're going to be hearing the skype call twice as loud as the show and you will know instantly that its time to mute your stream and talk to the cast.

How do I watch these? If I go to onemoregame.tv the last archived episode is 12/13/11 EP25. I would think Wheat would people to be able to see his show. Any help would be apreciated.

Yeah, Made me give up on all Onemoregame shows. I'm asleep when they run live and since the MP3 never gets released it just feels pointless waiting =) Only podcast I follow that has this problem

The trend used to be that I handled all this on my own. I stopped cause it was several hours that I couldn't afford to give up anymore. So then we started using blip to auto convert our MP3's and those guys decided that people didn't need that function anymore. As a result, we've been left with a technology that was supposed to do this for us, but now has been changed.

So honestly, if you want to get upset at someone... please PLEASE go yell at blip. We now have to completely change our setup now and as we've gotten way behind.

Hmm not sure I buy this explanation. While I love you as much as the next person it seems like letting blip autoconvert it is just laziness in the first place(While your laziness comes from the fact you have a family and time management etc etc not calling you out) The fact is couldn't you just have audacity running to record the input in real time while you stream? Possibly ask JP how he has MP3s up before Vods idk. If money for software is an issue simply putting up a post on reddit asking for donations would fill your paypal up in seconds. I Absolutely love your productions but I can't help but be frustrated that listening to them while at work is my only outlet and hearing about news 1+ month in the past is not exciting to me.

Anyways Thanks for all you do but this MP3 thing is one of the glaring issues I see with your business model.

Gotta back the guy up. I always listen to on-demand stuff be it Day9 or SotG, ITG, whatever...But without Mp3's thats just not convenient for me. I wanna hear what you guys are doing and I'm sure you want me as a listener.

I respect that you have time issues to contend with, but right now, I think a large audience is being left out in the cold.

I would love MP3's as well, but for a show like this its not just a matter of "leaving audacity on" on their end. There are many aspects of production that are complicated and don't lend themselves to simple recording measures. Maybe OMG.tv could recruit a dedicated person to record through audacity from the spectator end? That would be a pretty boring job, but it's the easiest solution that I can think of.

Hope you guys find a solution, there is quite a high demand for these mp3's.

Yeah. OneMoreGame is pretty bad about putting the VODs of shows up in a timely manner.

I like how everyone goes ballistic when the SotG VOD isn't available the next day, but no one seems to care about the OneMoreGame ones.

Several times, I've wanted to watch a recent ITG/LO3 episode, only to see that the VOD isn't up even over a week later, so I've just forgotten about it.
