Learning from your own mistake is great, MLG. I give props for that.
However, it would've been even better if they looked at what Korea (GSL or MSL/OSL) was doing and learned from that. Then maybe Dallas would not have happened. Just saying
To ensure the player doesn't hear a darn thing, you need: 1. Soundproof booth 2. Industrial-grade noise blockers 3. Ear buds. 4. Have the speakers face away from the stage.
Then commentators can scream as loud as they want without worry.

Sounds awesome, looking forward to watching how it turns out this time around

Good 2 problems left 1 LAN 2 Extended series

We'll see if they can handle the stream this time. That'll be a big test...
|
Glad to see them taking steps to improve their stream and stuff.
Hopefully it all goes smooth.

Better late than never, but honestly why did they have to fuck up MLG Dallas after they already learned this lesson last season? As well as pretty much every other live SC tournament? I want my money back.
|
great they are wasting their budget on booths and wont have any money left to invest in a working stream!
|
Good! Now the commentators will be able to talk about what is going on in the game while it is down! :D
|
Definitely a good idea, I would have been so angry if I was in the audience in Dallas and didn't get to hear the commentary. Hopefully the next MLG goes smoothly.

They're only needed for mainstage games that will be on the big screen and broadcast through the speakers since that's where soundproofing matters the most I would imagine. 4 at least? They only need 2.
Technically true, but 4 booths allows them to setup one game while another is being finished avoiding downtime. Of course knowing MLG, downtime is their specialty.

Did you miss the info on the work they are doing to improve the stream? they appear to be trying to improve it for all viewers, onsite or streaming. People moan about the tech and setup issues and then moan some more when they start bringing in solutions!!?

If it doesn't are you gonna rip it in half like you did with that bus?
|
Will they have working streams this time? That's more important imo.
|
Great, I hope MLG will put on a good show at the next event!
|
Very nice move. I can only hope they pull it off flawlessly. Another screw up wouldn't help their cause . I do have faith though.

HuK can do his mothership builds without fearing it will be given away by the crowd :D.
Good Job for MLG doing this good step in the right direction.

If the only lesson they learn is that, it's not going to be much better. Hopefully they learn all the others too.
