Most everyone plays on EU for practice(ladder). Just a larger pool of better players to get matched against.

(probably 50% of eu server at top mmr have a game plan that revolves around taking a 3rd, where NA is probably like 20%)

i find it hilarious how people can make up such bullshit reasons and statistics for why they feel as they do.

Hey guys, the reason NA is played the least is because top euros take a 4th base 10% of the time and top na take a 4th base 20% of the time, therefore the euros are afraid of the superior macro of na.

While I don't agree with either posts, EU has more top players so it's good that US players play on the European server. At least they can all practice together then.

Hopefully with the next patches, it'll be 8 Terrans, 8 Protoss, and 8 Zerg in the top 24.

I refuse to believe that MKP is all top three. Not out of lack of skill, but that would make for something like 6000 games played, and almost half off-race. And I don't see MKP as the type of player to just spam short, cheesy games on the ladder.

I'm pretty sure at least one of those accounts is a shared Prime account. No way one guy can mass that many games

Yeah and his 2500+ games on his main account doesn't mean he has played many "long" games : before his first GSL run we can see some replays of him where he maka rax in tvt/tvz
then power rax if the first attempt was denied. So I guess he has a lot of short games on his main account.

White-ra was super close to that, too bad the new (bugged?) match making system absolutely crushed his chances.

Just look at his match history lol, 11wins 1 point wins (his 2point wins were bonus pool lol), and everytime he lost he lost like 20 points

Ya, I was watching WhiteRa's stream, and he was laughing when he got 0 points for a win.. 0!!! including the bonus pool.. 0

Nobody has every heard of that.. i feel for him.. it doesnt make any sense..

It's turning to same thing as in WoW arena. Top teams only get couple of points from win and lose like 20. Guess the system is kinda similar

Probably there to stop the endless inflation of points.

Blizzard probably wants points to be a somewhat reliable indicator of a player's skill.

Then get rid of the bonus pool and/or just show the real mmr to begin with.

I wonder if the korean ladder is bugged as well or if its just NA. Not sure if this is a meaningful statistic or not given that top NA players point acquisition is really screwed up at the moment.

See? Korea is just sick, they got so many people up in the Top 20, despite so few players, it has like half the players NA has: Europe: 770,391, Korea: 479,369, NA: 997,398.

point totals aren't really that indicative of anything except games played vs. people at your or close to your level, within your pool, since you don't play against people in other ladder divisions-- they're really only meaningful within the division itself, not across divisions.

also, how is 4600 points special?

Since the ladder season is about to be over, its the highest anyone have and will achieve for season 1.

Probably will be the highest ever or close to it since this ladder season ran 3x as long as they will be running from now on. This one lasted 9 months and blizzard said the rest will be at 3 month intervals

do you have a link to where blizzard said they will be 3 month intervals? that seems very short. i dont think that can be true..

whitera is the best non-korean in my book.

such a legend... i was giggling the other day when he was totally dominating qxc on his stream while simultaneously commentating his own play in english (not his native language) like he was playing vs a bronze leaguer.

i love qxc, but man whitera is a fiendish professional.

this is expected.

most terran wins will be games under 10 minutes long... most protoss/zerg games last a lot longer than that. the average game length for a high masters zerg/protoss win is more like 25 minutes.

more wins = higher on ladder.
