Lets say you have two sc2 accounts, and you modify one of them, but get banned. Will you still be able to play on your second account?

This doesn't modify accounts, it modifies the game client. That's another reason why it's unlikely anyone will be banned. Nothing happens to the account itself.

Just noticed this thread now and since no one has been banned in months of people doing this then I am going to assume that it's safe. Cool backgrounds here I come :D

Also, worse case scenario I have to drop another $50 and I get to climb my way through bronze and silver again :D

If i were to remove, the race backgrounds (terran, zerg, protoss) from the matchup screen, would i be left with an empty void or would it just show the background behind those?
