Forsti hasnt gotten anything for his Friday Night Game appearance, Qxc hasnt gotten anything for IEM NA, Huk hasnt gotten anything for IEM Cologne (which was more than 6 months ago now), and I heard several Viking Cup winners stating they haven't gotten anything yet.
That's at least what I heard about

Hm, that actually is pretty... Meh?

Would be interesting to hear a comment on that by some ESL official.

Im not too informed with BW (I kind of stopped paying attention to it after about 2004), but how do these prize pool compared to OSL and MSL.

Prize for OSL/MSL is about 28,000 dollars. However it's important to not forget that they have contracts. Players like Flash make about 150k a year, plus everything else they win.

Whoa, interesting. The disparity between GSL Code S and Code A is pretty lol I always wondered why good people didn't drop down to Code A and then rape. Now I have my answer.

Pricemoney has always been an unstable thing in E-Sports. It's not just ESL. There are teams still waiting for their CPL or ESWC pricemoney and stuff from years ago.

Oh and pricemoney getting at least months delayed is pretty much the norm I'd say.

Once you're in Code S, you're pretty much in the money. The hard part is getting there .

Some minor corrections for this.
Code S 50 + 20 + 5x2 + 3x4 + 2x8 + 1.5x16 comes out to 132 (Million won) x7 = 924 M Won
GSTL there are 6 of these for 2011, so 15 Million won x6 = 90 M WOn

So for the whole GSL 2011 Tour there's a price pool of 1 567 000 000 Won, or 1 407 166 U.S. dollars, according to Google just now.

Hopefully, ehcg will be able to answer that. Though, I think he said he's fiddling around with the site to make it user friendly.

Yea I didn't know that. I assumed winning Code A would be like 10% of winning Code S. Apparently not the case!

Although I haven't made a page for it yet, I can give you a little preview.

NOTE: I don't think I have all players clans accurately reflected yet so it's probably not too accurate.

GSL totals out to almost $1.5M.... thats insane for a brand new game, I mean I bet the first year after SC1 was released they barely broke $20k if that...... how the world has changed, I honestly can't thank the BW scene more for how huge they have shown an esport can be.

I highly doubt that when SC1 was released that anyone would have, with true conviction and belief, predicted that millions of dollars would be given out each year to nerds for what much of western culture would deem "slacking off" but here we are..... and the prize pools are only getting bigger atm.

Perhaps by the time SC3 arrives esports might even be on TV outside korea..... when you think about how far things have come in the last decade, its definately a possibility
