nice info, and holy crap GSL potential is still so much higher than any other tournament league but because of it's nature is basically an exclusive league unless you get knocked out early and want to attend MLG/IEM inbetween seasons.
I now have autographs of both BoxeR and NaDa. I can die happy. Lim Yo Hwan and Lee Yun Yeol FIGHTING forever!

If you want a more up-to-date online database, I have one online at http://ehcg.djgamblore.com/

I'm working on some tools to make updating the database easier and then I'll see if I can find someone to make it look at least decent.

Bit busy with law school stuff at the moment though

edit: was a reply to the request for individual player prize money ranks

nice to see the mlg figures, finals should at least draw in a lot of competition.

Hopefully all of the events can bring a good showing.
I may appear to be an emotionless sarcastic pos, but just like an onion when you pull off more and more layers you find the exact same thing everytime and you start crying

Ok I recalculated the GSL Tour prize pool. It comes out Grand Total for the GSL 2011 Tour Prize Pool: 1,380,800,000 Won (~1,230,000 dollars)

Look at this figure is astounding. Over 1 million dollars in prize pool. Wow

That's awesome, do you update at regular intervals? Might be interesting to have a +/- position/earnings column so you can see who's performing now and who's just up there due to strong early performances.

An amazing thread - seeing how the GSL dwarfing the other tourneys makes me really appreciate how much they are putting into their E-Sports scene.

When did MLG announce this? And do they have locations yet?

MLG just announced it:
http://pro.majorleaguegaming.com/news/announcing-the-first-details-of-the-2011-mlg-pro-circuit

Note: I believe the halo prize pool would be split among the team members(I think a tdm team is 4v4?), but I could be wrong..

People have posted the link to the amound. As for the locations, 2 have been announced: Dallas, TX on the weekend of April 1-3. From there, the Pro Circuit will head to Columbus, OH on June 3-5.

ESL has a tendency not to pay the winners so I don't know that it should be included.

GSL is sweet for the SC2 scene and E-sports. MLG is also great for the scene. $190,000 for SC2. $560, 000 for Halo Reach and then the rest of the other games they will have prize pools for during the full year. Remember there is more to e-sports than sc2.

Good thing I always put disclaimers :D I agree on MLG being very heavy on a more varied E-sports here.

@The ESL comment - I thought they just pay late/
