Edit: I cringe when I am watching streams and a fan asks for them to add them or to play games with them. I mean wtf seriously. Stop.

I didnt expect him to accept though since i thought pros dont come on bnet to talk he accepted and was super nice to me and replied to everything I wrote, didnt even seem bothered when i kept squealing like the fanboy that i am. I doubt all (or any of the other) pros are as amazingly baller as ret though i did the same actually. hes a cool dude.

Is your choice of words possibly suboptimal?

I'd really like to chat with White-Ra but i'm nervous and don't want to be rude/bother him lol. so what is your take guys? White-Ra is one of the nicest guys around and if hes not busy with a game at that moment he would probably be willing to chat a bit. He likes saying hi to his fans!

I really don't understand why people open these threads.

I personally wouldn't mind at all if they just followed the basic etiquette that some people have already mentioned (such as not messaging when in a game).

Actually when a chat window pops up there's a little slidder on the right of it. You can open it up and block communication/add friend etc. from there. So no need to find your code.

Plus, judging from what I've seen on streams people who receive a lot of such unsolicited messages (e.g. Day9) must be very annoyed having to close a gazillion chat windows to find the one conversation they are looking for. It's spam people. Don't do it.

Think about real sports: if you catch, say Roger Federer walking on the street not seeming super-busy, I'd consider it to be ok to say a quick "hello, I'm your biggest fan". But obviously you don't follow him every step he takes, stalking him while he's busy/etc. And also obviously you don't try to chat with him while he's playing a game during a tournament.
