A huge shoutout to InControl and Machine for helping with this as well...I will definitely have to take a lesson with them after watching all of these! If I could just make one suggestion: please, PLEASE put up the production tab when you're watching Machine/Ret play against someone else...this can really help us analyze some of the timings they are using that they don't mention. | ||

Also, was wondering if you might be able to do, at some point during the 12 weeks, a session on reading a protoss, and how you can try and figure out what they're doing from only seeing a Gateway, Core and Zealot blocking the ramp, and possibly not being in position to sac an ovi. | ||

Yeah doing something on what goes through Incontrol's / Machine's / Catz's head when they see whatever up a ramp and what are the triggers to know what's coming would be cool. | ||

This is something we already discuss quite often... What we're looking for are little indicators that might give us tips... While we'll never be 100% certain, there are tons of clues we can look for. Constantly chronoboosted cybercore and gateways? Might be a 4 gate. More than 1 zealot? No sentries? Lots of stalkers? Might be a 4 gate. Lots of zealots? Nothing indicating that Toss is spending his gas? Might be a stargate play. Lots of sentries? Toss is probably wanting to expand... None of these clues tell us with certainty what's happening, but they do serve as indicators, and they SHOULD prompt you to sac an ovie if you're not sure. Remember, we expect to lose that overlord. It's part of our gameplan. Regardless, I'll make sure this question is asked again when we talk about 4 gate. | ||
