I think this is fallout from the beta, when Zerg needed to be 50% better than their opponent just to have a chance. At that point, a lot of good discussion started up about balancing, and in the meantime Zerg players had to collaborate and find ways to actually win games. Terran players did not have to, so I think right now the Terran race as a whole is WAY behind in the metagame to the Zerg race. I'm a 2100 diamond Terran player, but I've also played quite a bit of Zerg (I was C+/B- zerg on iCCup), and I find that if I'm looking for some strategical insights or maybe some new things to consider, websites like TL have 20x the good Zerg content than any of the other races. Most Terran threads are either QQ about the new state of TvZ, or QQ about Protoss late game. Yeah, these things exist with the other races, but I sure don't see a lot of them like I do with Terran. I hope to stay as a Terran player, but if the entire community of Terrans stays in this current state of metagame stagnation, I'll definitely be switching to Zerg. (Also, being allowed to re-bind hotkeys is going to make the backspace trick ridiculously good. Imagine having that on the spacebar instead of the backspace key, and never actually having to use more than two hotkeys to inject larva at all your hatcheries. Yes please!) | ||
