Like WTF lol calm down Yes an offensive GG is a bit rude, but to be fair I think what you did is far more bm. I hate when people do that shit. Wastes everyones time. If you really felt you needed to make a post in this thread over an offensive GG, then I guarentee there is far worse bm. Plus your actions make you look like kind of a jerk. Just my opinion.

I was winning and someone asked me how I was doing in chat and I replied that I was winning easily but I not only said it to my opponent by accident, I had caps lock on by mistake. Been catching up on this thread after the christmas period, and this is the post that actually made me laugh. Just imagining being on the receiving end of it is making me giggle more.

I'm alright with that. If he didn't start the BM, it would have been a normal game. I would have left without issue. But because he was a tool, I thought I'd have a bit of a fun.

Ironicly I noticed the increase of BM after the NA+LA merge, when a lot of people was saying that brazilians would "destroy" starcraft 2. ![]() Edit: and I agreee with RemnantToe, players who say gg when winning are the worst. Lift off is the lightest punishment they deserve.

![]() This was after a game of Squadron Tower Defense (ikik, not actually SC2, but whatever). I was the only one that didn't leak at all, and was keeping our team alive as a result until there was just too much for me to handle, carrying 4 lanes worth of sends and basic waves. <3 I thought it confusing, as I have no idea what he was saying.

Thats usually considered arrogant and BM

Edit: I don't message opponents afterwards to gloat, but sometimes I'll say things like this, or talk about build orders, or what the deciding moment might have been. If you don't want to talk after a game, you're free to ignore me or tell me so. But I don't think trying to talk about the game afterwards is necessarily bm.

Oh, good, now next time I'm done with a soccer match, a 5k, or even a triathlon, I'll make sure to punch the guy in the face if he utters to me so much as, "Tough race!" You've got to be kidding me.

But, you do have to be especially sensitive if you're looking to make a friend, because, let's face it, sc2 makes people angry. It is not a game I play to relax, lol.

On the contrary, I think that an (unprovoked) offensive GG is the worst kind of BM and legitimates whatever response you see fit. Your creativity is the limit.

Not really. Offensive GG is pretty much the most BM thing you can do. You can throw ten lines of expletives at me about how I f***ing suck, im a ******* ****** and i can suck a **** and bla bla bla and i'll just take it as a compliment to my harass and playstyle that I irritated someone so much. But when you are winning and type "gg", it's called and offensive gg not because you're doing it as an offensive tool or anything, it's because it's down right OFFENSIVE and rude. I honestly think it's the most BM thing you can do short of straight up maphacking/cheating. If someone ragequits, leaves without GG or whatever I never even notice or care, but offensive gg is insulting, and I consider it the worst gg. If you're winning, keep winning and killing him until HE ggs out or you kill him. It's the right thing to do. You're basically telling someone "I win, just leave", which may be true and maybe leaving would save time, but it's taken as "I owned you and I know it, i'm impatient as shit, get the fuck out of here kid" which tends to piss people off. If you offensive GG me, you better hope you don't see me at a live tournament, because I guarantee I'm going to come up behind you and lock in a RNC on your ass while you're playing and choke you out. Then say "gg".

Messaging after the game is considered BM. The cultures of Esport's communities are just different then that of real sports and should not really be compared. It's apples and oranges.

Trash talking can be useful, I have a feeling the only reason some players are in GM is because their rudeness puts their opponents on tilt.

The fun part is this odd P then decides to tell us all in detail how much he hates "proxyfags" etc and spews various obcenities over our guy using such a cowardly cheesy tactic, while completely ignoring the fact that he did the exact same thing... Some people make me wonder. Messaging after the game is considered BM. I disagree, it very much depends how you do it, and why, but it's definately not automatically BM.

![]() I used to be someone who cried cheese/allin/abusive/whatever in any games I've lost, but since returning to play recently I've only blamed myself for losses. I was kind of in shock when I came back after roughly 3 months of not playing and got demoted from Diamond to Gold. This is somewhat confusing, though I can understand his frustration. I guess he'd just prefer I let him take a third for free and macro up and overwhelm me without putting up much of a fight.
