In GSL, they probably do whatever gets you a win. I watched Fruitdealer vs Tester practice game. Tester is such a brilliant player with so much "wow" factor. I mean, he man-handled Fruitdealer pretty badly, even if the latter was traditionally expanding all over the place. But then, in the last practice game, against some Toss, Tester chose Terran. And you know what, he crushed a relatively big protoss army with a combo of marine+marauders+2 ghosts. He used these two ghosts to EMP the sentries and that's it. The protoss army with zealots, stalkers and 3-5 colossi went down to marine+marauder. It was pathetic. I mean, Tester played well as Terran, but this shows the pathetic balance of game. As a protoss, if you put a force-field wrong or get EMPed by a ghost just before a fight, that's it, you lose no matter how good your army composition is, you lose to freaking marines and marauders. I doubt in laddering they are bothered with such stuff, but everybody knows how to stop toss. | ||
