Yeah 1.4mil is pretty much viral, when boxer forms his team or joins one that's when I expect SC2 will become huge in Korea.

Does it not bother anyone else that FakeBoxer's game had more views than real boxer v nada games on the foreigner site?

Alot of the SC2 players were not around during the Boxer dominance-era. They probably knew who he is, but did not see him at the height of his dominance with his crazy dropship play. A lot of people would've been directed to the FakeBoxer matches because it was that good.

FoxeR is huge among foreign fans because he responded to them (he changed his name to FoxeR!), and actually mentioned them during an interview, which almost no other pros do - in fact, I don't believe i've EVER seen a korean pro mention foreign fans. I hope FoxeR actually wins the tournament.

Not at all.
- TvT is a much more boring matchup to watch than TvZ. - Foxer and Kyrix both have extremely crazy (and fun to watch) styles and were underdogs going in. - The Foxer vs Kyrix games were actually better to watch (game 1 of Boxer vs Nada were great but the others weren't anything too crazy).
Now obviously the Koreans were watching for the players. The western stream apparently has less sc1 knowledge and prefers to watch the highly entertaining (if not quite as good per say) players and matchups rather than follow the legends of old.
Edit: As was mentioned above Foxer also set himself up to be popular with foreign fans. I actually was more excited at seeing the Foxer game than the Boxer game, mostly because a fast paced TvZ beats out a TvT any day.

More might of been willing to stay up late and watch Boxer vs Nada live also

Especially as the level of play improves week to week. I'm not saying it's unreasonable, I just want it to be cheaper so GSL could be even more accessible to more people (which in turn will benefit GSL back, and benefit eSport development as a whole). Anyway let's not derail into that dangerous topic

Game has been uploaded for a longer period of time, not to mention was one hell of a game

Wouldn't be surprised if it has the higher views due to it just being the better games. I know i've linked a few friends up to watch it because it was great

Nope! Foreigners love the underdog story, which Kyrix and FoxeR both are. Also, TvT is...kinda boring xP TvZ on the other hand is exciting if not only because there's been so much controversy over that matchup due to "imba!" talks about it. A lot of SC2 players probably haven't really heard of both BoxeR and NaDa as sad as that may seem :[.
Also, I personally think the Kyrix v. FoxeR series was a better series to watch than BoxeR v. NaDa... :\

to me the number just look fantastic either way. more people would have been watching the live stream for nada v boxer, so less vod numbers. and you gotta admit the game 5 foxer won was unbelievable.
these numbers are simply telling us that sc2 is really taking off now. gotta be happy with that :D

Interestingly enough, only about 1.5% of the world has internet access capable of watching a live stream. That brings the number to about ~ 1.45m/(6700m*0.015) = 1.5% of the internet capable world watched the game. Pretty fucking impressive

Why do people keep saying TvT is boring?
I personally find it the most exciting and intense match up among all. One tiny mistake and your ball got raped by siege tank's fire. One good timing and you're on the high ground bombarding your opponent's troops.
But then maybe it's just me

I think he means that they were underdogs when the tournament started (Ro64) and that they were not expected to made it to Ro8.

I'am the only one who might think that those numbers are rigged ?
3 % of people who are watching SC2 match seems really huge, i would like to see some comment from south korean people here.

I think blizzard should sponsor him . (there was another thread about boxer getting his own sponsor). this guy is bigger than any other advertisement for sc2.

If those are "live" views, then the Foxer game was much earlier than the real Boxers game...and a lot of people probably went to bed. I know I did.
