World population (2008): 6,697,254,041 0,0012 of the rest of the world watched SlayerSBoxer vs NaDa There is already someone mentionning : Interestingly enough, only about 1.5% of the world has internet access capable of watching a live stream. That brings the number to about ~ 1.45m/(6700m*0.015) = 1.5% of the internet capable world watched the game. Pretty fucking impressive But I'd like to add the GSL is a korean base tournament, in korea, mainly cast by korean commentators, and the only other official stream is in english. The "world" as you mention is less likely to watch a stream if this is not in your mothertongue. That's a fact. The "world" which does speak english fluently is smaller than 6B people. I might be wrong though... ^^

One million though, that's insane. I remember being impressed when Ihdra vs Huk had 12k viewers. ![]()

I mean if its all games combined that is like 425000 people, its a lot of people but considering someone like husky gets up to about 300000 in some video's (more often 150k) it doesn't seem that big.

Someone already mentioned it but I believe that's the amount of unique logged in users that watched the games or something along the line. Very impressive nonetheless. Edit: Oh and its all games combined of that series. Edit2: And Those Husky videos probably aren't viewed that much in 1 day but over a lengthy timespan. This was uploaded yesterday and hasn't even been 24 hours since upload.

Well huskies videos are free so if you want to watch 2 different games you need to pay. There is a big difference. Also, you need to sign up to watch any games at all.

True and I guess husky gets a lot of views from the more casual gamers, The gsl just isn't as accessible as youtube, particularly to foreigners. You have to go looking for it instead of like with youtube where everything kind of finds you. A better comparison would be to the BW scene and how many views it gets. Still a very large number of people though. Tbh I can only see these numbers going up as starcraft 2 matures.

Everyone who does or were referenced by those people watched the games or vods since yesterday. The farther Boxer gets is the more Korean viewers will watch Boxer's games which is better for E-Sports. And that GSL1 Finals stadium won't be enough for Boxer. I'm thinking like OSL or PL finals for Boxer alone ><
