Its an honest question. Why do people respect someone who gives no respect to others. No respect to the people who make this community possible (tournament organizers) and no respect to the players that make up the competition that he excels at. I like idra because he doesn't bend or heed to your delicate sensibilities of manners. Get over this "etiquette" nonsense. Shit talk is part of ANY game. If you can't handle it, or cry about seeing it, go play another game. We all play a game. Idra is really good at this game. His gameplay does the talking, everything past that is trivial - except to people like you who love to make a mountain out of a molehill. This is ironic. I just state my opinion about a player, which is actually no big deal and my opinions about how people should treat other people, also no big deal. However, by quoting me and then trying to somehow justify IdrA's childish behavior (comon' ... the guy is a friggen adult, act like one) you are the person that is making my opinion of IdrA (a molehill) into a mountain (a quest to somehow make the entire community be polite and curtious?) I'm allowed to say my mind and opinion in a sensible manner, kthx. If I were to start talking on these forums like idra does to other people, I might find a fast ban ticket. Its almost a double standard. Why is his behavior acceptable? Just because its consistent? Just because he's been here longer? Why?
You're allowed to state your opinion, I don't have to like it and I don't have to agree with it. You can talk however you want on these forums, no one is stopping you, however people will have the right to criticize you if they don't like it. Don't throw some red herring "oh hai guyz I'm just trying to make the entire community polite and curtious..." then contradict yourself by saying he is "almost less than human". If you don't like him, don't like him. That's fine. Just realize everyone doesn't think the same way as you. Part of what makes any community a good one is diversity within members and diversity of thought.

Imagine if people were making threads about you all the time, I think you would be kinda sick of it after a while. Yep, be he is not the only complaining every minute of every day how terran is OP against Zerg, Idra is and had this coming to him.
Nice written buddy.

Please don't use the term "Zerg Emperor" on Idra.

Name one Zerg who is better than IdrA and then I'll call them "Zerg Emperor."

Checkprime :o.
But yeah, Idras cool too.
and lol@people who act like Idra spews expletives or anything. You must really like bandwagon. The only thing he does is a)Leave with GG and occasionally b)Say you have no skills at Starcraft. Sure he isn't a graceful loser, but whatever.

there was a reason why he didn't choose to compare IdrA to Chuck Norris......

So I just googled Idra since I wanted to see how he looks, considering everyone has to bring in something about his looks, and on his TL wiki page, it said he was American Terran player lol.

Pretty much this.
He always seems very friendly in interviews, and more than willing to discuss things, it's not like he has some uber elitist attitude, and refuses to give interviews or talk about the game. He speaks his mind, and doesn't sugar coat things, I like that. If he believes a certain player is not good, he tells it how he sees it, at least he is honest. As far as the GG thing is concerned, at this point thats just a part of who Idra is, if he started GG'ing every game I feel like that would take away from his personality as a pro gamer. I think he also looks a lot more normal with his short haircut, definitely an improvement.

Who threw a red herring? Maybe you should read... anyways.. if you want a community full of shit-talking babies I'd be more than happy to talk massive amounts of shit whenever I face you in ladder. Are you "top diamond?" lewl... then maybe you'll see how it feels to get shit talked etc. Nobody really appreciates it.
Its fun to watch until you're the victim of unprofessionalism at a professional level. Great example is Silver. Pretty good player that doesn't get the respect he deserves for pwning the shit out of IdrA, just b/c of the race he plays.
Reap what you sew. Go ahead and be "diverse" (somehow acting like a raging 16 year old baby is diversity) and see how far you get. All my money that you won't make it past me, let alone get to Idra's level of play. Idra has skill, but please, he needs to learn some social skills.
