I will enjoy seeing the dance master flounder playing.

I agree with some of the other people in this thread, quite a few B-teamers and other lower level progamers will probably switch over to SC2. But I don't see them being super dominating in the scene.

But if a A level progamer switches over, that could be a different story (but the chance of that is so little as of now)

GSL banned all of the "disgraced" BW gamers, so I don't think he will be playing.

Do you have a source for this? I was look forward to seeing more from him after the artosis video.

In the GSL rules there was something about GSL being able to deny players from participating if they were unfit. I believe in a later interview with the GSL they clarified this to mean that match-fixers would not be given the opportunity to participate in the GSL.

which means that only the best of the best would be playing BW while the others run away to SC2,right now this is good but in the long run I fear that BW would die.

So is July next, or will the entire farm system/B-team system flee the scene?

Seems insignificant at the moment but in the long term it's bad for BW....there's a lot more possibilities in SC2 right now for B-teamers and below. If all the B-teamers/practice partners switch to SC2 what will the A-teamers do? Only practice against themselves? Same 30-50 players competing every match and tourney? With no new players coming in and lesser players switching the prospects for BW don't look good. If the GSL is a success I don't see how the pro BW scene can continue to sustain itself.

Not really interesting unless a well-established A-teamer switches. IrOn is probably below Tester's level..

I read the comments below the article. I don't know who Iron is but seems he's known as "Suicide Toss". lol

Anyway, his bad performance and the prize money lured him to SC2 it seems. It's better to be salaried in the long run, but I can see how this can be tempting for someone in his situation.

I really hope this isn't the case. Despite the match-fixing, I'd like to see upmagic and savior back in the booth.

Progame teams and Starcraft 2

For the players whose contracts are running out this end of August and did not extend their contract, at least they have Starcraft 2.

One of the progame teams has been revealed to have their players whose contracts are ending practice Starcraft 2. Meanwhile, another progame team seems to have purchased state of the art computers so that their players could experience Starcraft 2. And in another progame team, the players have been practicing SC2 on their free time.

Especially, a specific progamer, a Starleague winner, has been revealed to join the Starcraft 2 Clan Prime to enter Starcraft 2 once his contract with his current team ended. Meanwhile, an upper-middle class progamer even demanded compensation for joining a Starcraft 2 league.

Regarding July, Prime's coach Lee Joon Ho has said this.
"He is active in the clan, but he's not in our game team [T/N: Prime recently turned into a team]. In the case of July, he is good not just as a gamer but also as a commentator, so I think he has the potential to show the e-Sports industry a lot more. But I'm sure he has something planned. If he folds everything and comes in, then we will accept him, but as of right now, July is not part of the Prime game team."

Starcraft 2 also finally broke gametrics top 10 chart for yesterday. Sadly, WoW resurfaced and took it off the top 10 chart the day after.

The way it's being portrayed is that a lot of the unsuccessful players are switching over to sc2 for a "second chance"... It may cast sc2 in a bad light perhaps?
