Don't change the title just because someone is too lazy to read the entire fucking post and realize it's not from blizzard. Anyways, thanks for this. Just finished listening. ![]()

![]() Ah and I think the reason why WC3 maps arent changing that much is because the early game isn't really hard to balance since pushdistances and ramps aren't as important as in Starcraft. The Hero will keep you safe in the earlygame. Same goes for Expansions, since there is no maynard transfer required (5 Peons per expo) and every expansion supports itself if you want to say so. Town portals also "balance" mapdistances in some way or another... In a nutshell, the only way you have to balance WC3 maps imo is creepwise, not terrainwise (unless there are any major exploits).

One small complaint, is it just me, or is the sound quality on JP himself really bad this time? Seems like the microphone is cutting out. ![]()

Pretty much everyone who participated did their best to not take part in anything anyone would call a discussion or debate. JP would ask a question and the responces would be so curt that I asked myself several times why would anyone accept to participate in a debate and then give such curt answers. No one on the podcast wanted to give anything that resembled anything like a thought or opinion... Oh and lets not even talk about the "balance" discussion...everyone was on the fence (which is a fair stance) but the general feeling and vibe that I got was everyone just wanted to quickly brush aside the topic...which is fair enough but this is a podcast and people are downloading it to hear opinions and discussions...and it was not the place to have an attitude of brushing balance aside...it's a shame really. p.s. btw there were several "pro" players who at the IEM talked about and hinted at their views on TvZ or Terran imba in general.

"Watch the second game of Nada vs TLO" ... well which second one? The actual second game or the second one of the games they finished? MLG map pool Why not use some totally different maps like the recreations of BW maps which are out? Blizzard is usually bad at mapmaking and the publishing system for custom maps is awful, so MLG could add some leverage to improve that.

I am 100% sure they all have a opinion on balance, on what they think the patch should include, it would be interesting to hear ideas and not "i...dont really..know, u know heh?" Just comes across as "i dont my image to suffer" instead of actually contributing to the show, you cant force them to say anything, but hopefully you can get more open players in the show who dont mind saying what they deep down think. EDIT: If the very best players wont honestly comment on the balance in SC2, then who will? Thats right, Joe Battle.net GOLD ranked. How can Blizzard gain any info from the cream of the crop if they all act indifferent. Again good job JP and you did as much as you could to get anything out of these guys.
