I feel Incontrol hated D9 for some reason and always bashed him a bit in normally friendly discussions. But hey , you cant pin that on Incontrol as he "hated" alote of people , especially before he understood you cant treat everyone as shit and say you are joking (remember the first controversial episodes) when Incontroll created his first dedicated anti fans , or haters as some people call them. Lol, you're crazy if you think Day9 left for personality reasons. His time on the show was always limited and it was getting worse and worse over time - he'd miss multiple SotGs in a row. Day9 is the type of person who has to pour 100% into whatever he's doing. He gets incredibly upset when he thinks he is not giving it 100%. He's fallen apart on some dailies before and just flat out started them over because he thought they weren't as great as usual even if the audience thought they were fine. If you really think Day9 left for any other reason than that, I doubt you honestly watch either the Day9 Daily or State of the Game. As for the rest of it, yes, you've summed up the history of State of the Game - what of it? Even if they could do it all over again, I'm not sure there is an incredibly large amount that they would have done differently. People forget that this podcast is always been about 4-5 people screwing around and talking about StarCraft, and when people in the community started to take it super seriously is when it started to have problems. People were crying about an -informal- podcast not having a -formal- schedule or that pillars could not make every appearance, not to mention over half a dozen other "controversies". The demands for an unprofessional podcast to become professional were contradictory to what everyone liked about it - the fact that it wasn't professional. There are days I really feel bad for JP and the other Pillars. I work for some pretty ungrateful clients, who love to pick apart my firm's work, deny invoices and generally make sure we are paid as little as possible. It is really demotivating to work for them at times when they refuse to pay for something you spent hours working on. I get paid very well to deal with this and that does a lot to off set the issues of ungrateful clients, aggressive and rude clients. I could not imagine doing something for free that the community just tears apart the moment they smell blood in the water. There is just no way. Passive aggressive posts like the one you responded to just make me sad. It is so clear that the poster is trying to tear down JP, despite his claims. The fact that the community has become so accepting of these passive aggressive trolls, who hide behind the guise of “criticism”, really makes me wonder if we will ever have SotG again. It has become so clear to me that there are people who just get off on the power they have over these start up shows like SotG and ITG, and live to tear them down as much as possible. The empowerment of the community has become a tool for people to abuse for their own amusement. Maybe there might be SotG again, but I think JP should divorce it from TL and reddit in almost every way. I think it would best for the people who enjoy and cared about the show, since we can show our fandom in other ways. I agree x10000 with your sentiments. I'm astonished the pillars haven't lost their sanity too.

This is weird....JP didn't say anything about a new episode on Twitter. Unless I missed it?

Probably because he doesn't care if certain kinds of people miss it.

Nony seems to be somewhat consistent.

LOL artosis just cant wait to rip on american airlines
I love this banter
|
lol I visited america over new year the first time for 5 years and heard terrible stories about TSA and more. But actually everyone I had to deal with on 3 delta flights and on american airports have been very friendly. Even more than I'd expect of someone doing those jobs.
QXC+Artosis+Tyler will be good, I hope they talk about ingame stuff.

And Artosis ends up on a terrorist watch-dog list.
