Really nice to have the show going on again. I'm liking the new hosts a lot. I just hope to hear artosis and nony a bit, since i can't listen to them anywhere else ( i mean outside of commentating, for artosis, obviously).
I feel the show is a bit less "fun", and a bit more "starcraft". I'm liking it.
I'm willing to support the show, and give money to your channel since i only download the MP3 but i'm a little scared it will just fade away abruptly like last time. SO, i make the following statement: if you manage to have 3 episodes in a row, i will suscribe, and remain subscribed until you miss 3 weeks in a row. Seems fair and balanced. Like a warhound.
Much love to you and all the guys,
PS: appreciated to watch it live for the first time thanks to the UE friendly time ! !

Hey JP,
I'm subscribing to your twitch.tv channel because your shows are a savior to my commute. I will give my two cents now:
Please don't stop uploading mp3s.
The new SOTG is awesome but please don't forget about Real Talk cuz that is awesome as well.

(Plat and diamond were still only about ca. 80 percentile at the time, iirc)

However, EU viewers have to stay up until 2-3-4 AM, and we usually have to get up at 7-8 AM for work/school. That's not a mere inconvenience; for a lot of us this means we simply can't allow ourselves to watch the climax of the tournament.

My dog could have gotten Diamond after Beta if he knew some very basic RTS "rules"... Seriously... Everything before season 3 is "old" RTS players raping new ones ^^

Your dog? I'd like to challenge that idea. Paws would simply not have the control fidelity necessary to play Starcraft.

people 4 gated their way into the top league in beta. I mean, even after sc2 got released, alot of people were 4 gating their way into masters so i don't think beta ladder rankings matter.

The show was hard to understand at the intro when you guys were overlapping the apollo rap clip and talking at the same time.
Put a real talk feed on stitcher!!

Wolf saying it is cool to see such players as Heart being unpredictable, and adding to the game, really? I mean 1-1-1 everytime vs protoss isnt exactly unpredictable lol.

Agreed. You could make units and A-move them accross the map to win some games in beta. This was the era of 1 supply roaches and 40 second warpgate on maps like Steps of War.
Still, I will not judge a caster until I hear them cast something. I do not listen to them for their ability to win at Starcraft 2, but to make the game I am watching more entertaining.

Just a reminder how bad people were at 1.0:
I 10 pooled all 5 times..
4 times i won on the spot, 1 time it took me 5 more minutes.
I was never good at SC2, i felt never good. But the general play right after release was just SO low...

I agree with this.
It's so much more important to have a good voice, be confident, eloquent and not be boring. Lack of these qualities is mostly the reason why many low profile commentators in the community remain low profile.

Well, if we count all his official games, i would say probably a bit less than half.

exactly, less than half. the rest of the time he either does some other cheese build or greedy macro play. seems fairly unpredictable to me.
on the other hand, look at Taeja for example: greedy macro play pretty much every time. not that Taeja isn't awesome, but you pretty much know what to expect. with Heart, much less so.

Its why Grubby is amazing and so awesome. The man can do it all. He always places well when he plays, speak well on camera and is well dressed at all times.
JP, we need Grubby on SotG to talk about the HotS beta. Everything is better with Grubby.
|
You actually could have 4 gated into the top of the beta, IFF it had been discovered as a strategy, which it had not, so there are a lot of people here talking crap.
Edit:
That said, i agree with calls for grubby on state of the game if they can get him. More grubby means more win. The only reason not to i suppose is due to the number of protosses that have always been on SotG,
Then again, Grubby and ToD together might mean for some cool stories.
