Illegal workers are not the problem. A lot of people look down on migrant workers or guys at home depot trying to find work. I have HUGE admiration for anyone with that kind of hustle. That shit is the opposite of lazy. People that want to work are NOT the problem. It's the people that don't want to work that we need to get rid of. Migrant workers aren't taking away jobs... at least not any that anyone else wants to do. Instead, these workers are a deflationary mechanism... On a global scale, we are competing with countries like China and India, places whose only competitive advantage is their cheap and plentiful workforce. We don't have that natively. Migrant workers allow us to increase our economic output by transferring our native workforce from lower to higher productivity jobs. If this workforce is eliminated, you can expect price increases across the board, especially in sectors like the farming and building industries. Ready to pay twice as much for your groceries? You can't have it both ways.
