Apparently living and practicing in Korean makes you Korean, what a deadly disease!

And clearly, because of that he's genetically Korean. What do genes have to do with StarCraft? I agree with yomi; if you live in Korea, with Korean players on a professional Korean team, with a training schedule in a team-house, I can't see how you can still categorise that as being 'foreigner'. The foreigner classification, for me, is more about the disadvantage of location and player-base, not genes or anything stupid like that. The 'foreigner' classification describes any player not from Korea, in their eyes someone who is 'foreign'. Why delve so deep into it?

Because in this thread it was "omg foreigner beating a Korean", but really there's no difference between the two in this case. If it was TLO, Jinro, or some other player who hasn't been living in a team-house for 2-3 years then I could understand.

I can see why.. lol day9 gets douchier every day :/ Your calling day9 a douche in a thread that's partially about idra... Idra is easily the most disliked player in sc2 and day9 is more respected then some of the top pros.

I think it is to combat the negative connotation of being a foreigner. We can see that a foreigner has the same work ethic and skill level that the korean culture fosters. It is much the same of calling someone a faggot. Now bare with me on this really terrible example, you mean this person is an asshole, you don't like them, and that they may be gay. You do not mean they are a bundle of sticks used to help light a fire. Now, when someone used the word faggot out of a context you are used to it is very weird but throws away the negative connotation that the culture has thrown onto it. Just speculation though. ^.^
