There most definitely are ways to abuse this but I've provided this guide with the assumption that the user is only doing this for aesthetic purposes, not to abuse it. There's a whole lot of people who were disappointed with SC2's sounds who aren't cheaters, and this was for them. Besides, if somebody wanted to cheat in the way you described, he would probably already know how to do it. MPQ editing isn't rocket science. | ||

As has been said previously in this thread, WoW can detect model swaps within the MPQ files so it is reasonable to assume that SC2 can do the same thing. | ||
