i think there hasnt been a topic about it
Shortly after the official launch of StarCraft 2, there are already quite a few changes in our divsion. The player Alexej "White-Ra" Krupnyk is lent to streaming platform Duckload, while two other players have to leave our StarCraft 2 division. Read on for Full Story.
The streaming platform Duckload would like mousesports player White-Ra to represent their newly figured E-Sports section. Therefore the Ukrainian player will play for Duckload in all official solo matches for the next three months, starting 1st of August. He will continue to compete with our mousesports SC2 division in official team games. The rest of the team, like the Go4SC2 overall leader Strelok will continue to represent the mousesports brand in all their games.

To me, "duck load" refers to very fine bird shot which gives a wide shot pattern, designed for shooting down waterfowl on the fly.

Its good for White-Ra and eSports, in the sense that companies you don't know about / that haven't gotten gotten involved in eSports are doing so. For example, this current MSL is being sponsored by bigfile, which according to many people is associated with illegal downloading.

he is still in our team but officially in their team for the individual leages to represent. we can still talking to him can be strategy, can be just fun and still practice internally with him. i dont feel backstabbed and white ra said that everything will be ok xD he didnt leave mouz, just joined other team. when clan league start he will fight with us ^^

I don't get what everyone is bugging out about. Most countries don't look at that sort of thing the same way America does, and to my knowledge it's perfectly legal in a lot of countries. It's definitely legal in Ukraine (which is where Whitera is from) so I really don't think there is any sort of moral dilemma. I'd be sponsored by a P2P site well before I'd allow myself to be sponsored by barely-edible junk food crap.

I don't know, it's actually one of the SC sponsorships that made more sense to me. I know I started using duckload after I got to know it through their sponsorship.
It was actually one of the better one click hosters, so I really hope it comes back.

Duckload got arrested and released. The servers are still there but the fiber is cut. Tommorow a lawyer will arrange for the servers to be put back online. Basically what he said in a nutshell. You can find these statements in thread I linked.

Well, in that forum some guy named duckload even says their service will be back online soon and that they are not related to kino.to.
He says their services and servers are located in Germany and they will stay there as it is legal. That investigation and raid was led by industry. (own comment: and we all know that content industry whishes and often times understands law different to what's actually legal)

I guess, the name itself "DuckloadRa" will be history, as Duckload.com got seized by german authorities due to massive copyright infringements.
(Details: kino.to, a well known 4-million-viewers-a-day streaming page has been taken down and it is suspected that the page operators had their hands on several one-click-hosters and streaming pages and made a massive turnover with ads and premium accounts of those pages)

no no no, he was sponsored by TtEsports long before they actually signed/announced it.
He regularly showed of his homepage on his stream and it was plastered with Tt Esport logos.
even when people asked what mouse he uses he showed of the one of TtEsports mice and keyboard.
and I doubt duckload will go down, not even rapidshare could get taken down for hosting illegal content.
